This building becomes available after you have learned the Kiln Construction skill. It is the most primitive kiln, but it is the only way to make firebricks if you do not yet have them.

Built in a Compound. Uses 5x7 cells.

Use

• Bake 6 Wet Firebricks into Firebricks. Requires 8 Wood.

Longetivity

Once constructed, it will display "This Box Kiln will survive 4 firings". A Box Kiln will crumble to dust at a random time after the first 4 firings. A good technique is to use it until the firings run out, then salvage it to get some of your bricks back.
