Test of the Coffee and Tea Ceremony
To pass the test host 1 tea and coffee ceremony and participate in 6 others
Preparations
As host you will be required to grow a particular tea and coffee plant in a favorable spot.
You will receive your tea and coffee cutting at the University of Worship, along with instructions as to it's care:
- The first step of care will be the planting location which will be given on which soil to be planted (clay, grass, dirt or sand), and 3 conditions it must be near to (water, statues, large rock, cactus, certain vegetation or trees.
- With the changing of the Egyptian month, comes the 2nd step of care will be the fertilization using a freshly caught fish of type (X) mixed with dung and insect (Y).
- The next Egyptian month the 3rd step of care will be the ritualistic trimming. This will be done by blessed shears of alloy (X) anointed with mixture of (Y) fruit and oil.
- The final Egyptian month will be the harvest, the prayer ("Oh God X I humbly beseech you to allow me to partake of your fruits") and gesture bless must be performed and then the coffee or tea plant will be ready to harvest.
- Once ready to harvest the plant will have 3 months before it goes barren and turns to dust
Setting Up a Tea & Coffee Ceremony
The instructions on how to host will also be provided from the UWorship:
- The coffee and tea plant must be harvested within 24 hours of the ceremony start.
- The location of the ceremony must be next to a (statue, shrine, large rock, school, university, shrine, bridge, papyrus)
- The 7 water for the tea/coffee must be ritually collected by a papyrus plant.
- The 77 wood for the fire must be collected from tree X.
- 7 linens will be dyed with color X as the tablecloth and spread on the ground at the ceremony location.
- The right type of incense X will be lit once the kettle starts to brew.
Serving Up a Tea & Coffee Ceremony
The ceremony continues as follows:
- 7 ritual cakes will be then served on a dish. The dish is made by baking 7 wheat flavored with Y herb and 7 X fruit honey and serving on a porcelain plate (made on a pottery wheel 1 part white sand, 1 part clay) and baked in a kiln.
- The host will then ask each player by typing in main "Player X, would you like coffee or tea?" Player X responds in main "Coffee please" or "Tea please"
- The host then serves the coffee or tea in porcelain cup to player X, and proceeds to ask and serve the remaining 5 players.
- Finally the host will say "I will have coffee" or "I will have tea", and serves themselves. Please note that not all 7 players should choose the same drink, if they all pick the same drink, the ceremony will be invalid
- Then the host says the ritualistic blessing "Thank you God X for this bounty we are about to receive"
- Then and only then may the players proceed to drink their coffee or tea and eat their cake. If any player eats or drinks before the ritualistic blessing the ceremony is invalidated
Closing Ceremony
After the eating and drinking, then each player:
- Ritualistically smashes their porcelain cup and plate,
- Dances the hambone,
- Does the celebrate emote.
The host then bows at the kettle says "All hail Mighty God X for your magical gifts of tea and coffee" and the ceremony is complete.
Test Benefits
Tea will give 3 focus and 3 perception for 24 hours Egyptian time, coffee will give 3 dexterity and 3 focus, this bonus adds on to others.
Test Limitations
Each player may only attend 1 ceremony per Egyptian week as either host or participant.
If your hosting fails, you may retry the next Egyptian month.
