Hens are found in the wild by examining Pale Pampas Grass. You must first learn the Avian Selection tech at a University of Worship. They can also be bred in a Chicken Coop.

Use

• They lay eggs
• Slaughtering a hen yields 1 Chicken Meat and occasionally Chicken Bones. *Whole live chickens (and eggs) can be fed to Cobras in a serpentarium.

• Hens consume less Barley per day than Roosters consume.
• Hens will lay eggs even if there are no roosters in the coop, but the eggs may not hatch if not fertilised by Roosters.
• Listed as Hens (plural) even if there's only one.

Byproducts

Depending on your Arthropodology skill level, slaughtering Chickens may produce Skinlickers, White Sawflies, Toad Sawflies, Bat Mites, Stone Flies, Hairy Slugs and Rose Mites.
