Wine Glasses are numbered counterclockwise from the center glass which is #1. Wine glasses can produce additional flavors depending on the quality of the glass. I always drink from a high Quality, med Quality and Low quality glass when testing a new vineyard for flavors inorder to make sure i get all the flavors available. For example a high Q glass may show cherry where a low q glass will show tree fruit, both of which will give points for wine notebooks.
I set up my wine tasting table as follows:
#1 - highest quality (in center) #2 & #7 - next highest Quality (right and left of center) #3 & #6 - medium quility (two sides of table) #4 & #5 - lowest quality (the back glasses on either side)
