1. Have fun.

1. Have fun.

2. Don't commit to a sacrifice you do not honestly believe you can make in the alloted time.
+
2. The people AT the fire have first dibs on sacs.  The fire-watcher/caller will keep the list of participants at the fire, in a rotation list.  They will call the next person on the list, and tell you what your sac is.  If you are unable to do this sac within the 1 hour time, please say PASS immediately.  The caller will then go to the next person in the queue.

3. Do NOT sacrifice anything you have not been assigned.
+
3. If no one at the fire can make the sacc within an hour, the caller will then make the sac request in guild chat.  If no one is able to make this, it is the callers discretion to go to regional, see if available on Bazaar, or to use the guild emergency stocks.

4. If you claim a sacrifice and later find you cannot make it in time please notify the firesitter immediately and help find someone that can make it.
+
4. Only fire-watchers and elders have access to the emergency stocks.

5. Do not hover over the fire when not making sacrifices, stay outside the borders that are set around the fire until it's time to make your sacrifice.
+
5. Play nice.

6. Play nice. Do NOT argue with the firesitters if they give a sac to someone else, even if by the rules you should have gotten it.
+
6. If you come across a request that nobody at the fire can fill, due to amount of current req (i.e. if it asks for 300 leather and each of you only has 200) please work together to combine your resources to get the sac made. If you still do not have enough (i.e. it asks for 300 leather and you each only have 20 left) please go to guild chat and ask if anyone has what is being requested.

7. Remember that the firesitter is always the final judge in who gets what.
+
7. If a participant has already passed the test, please request that they do NOT sac any items into the fire.  This can have negative impact on the scoring. Give the sac to someone that hasn't passed yet.

8. Above all remember to have fun!.

'''What you should stock up on before hand:''' This list is only a suggestion of things.  You don't need all of each of these to participate, but having each person try to have them on hand, will help in keeping the fire going.  Stock up on only what you can.  You are welcome to build your own chests or warehouses in the designated areas.

Vigil Policy and Procedure

1. Sacrifices are assigned on a first me first served basis provided that one person is not getting all the sac's.

2. Do not allow people to hover around the fire, if they are in the boundaries we set when a sac is announced thier first claim is invalid.

3. Call schedule for unclaimed sacrifices

*  Every 5 minutes in WW chat for first 20 minutes

*  After 20 minutes announce in Regional chat once.

*  After 40 minutes(total 20 in guild + 20 in regional) in Regional announce in E!

*  If after 1 hour sac still not claimed restart with WW chat reposting every 5 minutes for the next 35 minutes, then in regional for 20.

*  At the 5 minute remaining mark prepare for emergency sac and announce one last time in WW chat.

*  At the 1 minute mark follow Emergency Sac P&P

4. Sacrifice P&P for claimed sac's

* Keep a detailed record of who claimed what

* Remind claimants every time thier sac changes time marks

* If at the 5 minute mark you do not see the person assigned to the sac in range prepare for emergency sac.

* At the 1 minute mark follow Emergency Sac P&P

5. Emergency Sac P&P

* At the 1 minute mark make the emergency sac from the emergency stock if possible.

* Announce in WW chat that emergency sac was made, what it was, and claimer if claimed. (not necessarily in that order)

* Leave Tammie a chat with the same information.

6. The only times the first me does NOT automatically get the claim is if

* the claimer has had a large lead on the rest of the group. (i.e. if Zaniac has 500 sac's and everyone else only has 40 he needs to be gently cut off for a while lol).

** The only exception to this is if the claimer is planning on logging off for a while.

* the claimer has too many unfinished sac's resulting in emergency sacrifices.

* the claimer has been asked to sit out a few rounds for any other reason.

* While we don't want more than 21 people with matching scores we want to keep everyone's scores as equal as we can.

7. If there is an argument (which I really dont forsee but need P&P just in case) ALL parties involved will be asked to sit out a few sacrifices to privately work out thier issues.

8. '''ANYTIME''' there is a need to deny a claim, make a note as to why and pass it on to the next firesitter as well as to Tammie.

Elder presence is required during all shifts of a vigil fire. - ''revoked until further notice'' - Further notice. There will be Elders available, but they are not guaranteed to be there for all shifts, we'll figure something out as we go, since Korrin is on hiatus.

6:00 PM -
+
*Presence means online and within 5 minute run from the fire in the event of an Emergency.
 +
**Preferably at least 1 sitting in with each group.

9:00 PM -
+
Elder on duty will make any and all emergency sac's unless that elder has passed then said elder may choose who gets the sac.

Return to main [[Guilds/Worship_World|Worship World Guild]].

Latest revision as of 02:48, 3 December 2009

Return to main Worship World Guild.

NEED VOLUNTEERS TO TEND THE FIRE

See the Scheduling section

Vigil

So you wanna burn all that stuff you've worked so hard to get huh? I'll make it easy for ya, I'll give you a list of do's and don'ts and how-to's all you'll need to do is follow them closely and you will pass your first worship test and get a bonus 10 barley on every full harvest.

There is a lot of conflicting information regarding vigil from several sources. Please do not let this abundance of information intimidate you. Everything you need to know you can find right here.

What to expect:

1.Burn lots of stuff.

2.Have lots of fun.

3.Burn lots more stuff.

4.Meet lots of people.

5.Burn even more stuff.

6.Get your acro on.

7.Burn yet more stuff.

8.Have lots more fun.

What we expect from participants.

1. Have fun.

3. If no one at the fire can make the sacc within an hour, the caller will then make the sac request in guild chat. If no one is able to make this, it is the callers discretion to go to regional, see if available on Bazaar, or to use the guild emergency stocks.

4. Only fire-watchers and elders have access to the emergency stocks.

5. Play nice.

7. If a participant has already passed the test, please request that they do NOT sac any items into the fire. This can have negative impact on the scoring. Give the sac to someone that hasn't passed yet.

8. Above all remember to have fun!

Participant Mats Needed

What you should stock up on before hand: This list is only a suggestion of things. You don't need all of each of these to participate, but having each person try to have them on hand, will help in keeping the fire going. Stock up on only what you can. You are welcome to build your own chests or warehouses in the designated areas.

CUT GEMS NEEDED PRE-CUT - any type of gem - fires have been calling for all sorts of cuts, but the most common cuts asked for are: Dalessi, Choronzon, Aiden Mask, Cats Eye, Corner Heart, Hexas Plate

Emergency Stocks - This is what the guild will try to have on hand - If you can help in stocking our main wh's with any of this, it would be appreciated! No donation will be denied! UPDATED: November 1, 2009 at 5:46pm by truanna (not completely accurate, as I realized there were 2 overflow warehouses with miscellaneous supplies AFTER I'd done the list and wasn't going to go back and add in extra dirt, etc)

Not for the fire - but needed to help make things as needed

  • Carp shop blades
  • Tinder
  • Mats for 1 warehouse or 2-3 chests

Anything that is donated that is not used during the first vigil will be used in future vigils

Elders

Elder presence is required during all shifts of a vigil fire. - revoked until further notice - Further notice. There will be Elders available, but they are not guaranteed to be there for all shifts, we'll figure something out as we go, since Korrin is on hiatus.

  • Presence means online and within 5 minute run from the fire in the event of an Emergency.
    • Preferably at least 1 sitting in with each group.

Elder on duty will make any and all emergency sac's unless that elder has passed then said elder may choose who gets the sac.

Scheduling for December Vigil

We need folks to volunteer to watch the fire and call the sacs. Hopefully, we can get all to volunteer for one 4-hour shift. Please see schedule below and sign up!! 4 hours goes quicker than you think, when watching a fire!

This list is for EDT time zone

      • Kuviena is willing to take any empty spots, however, I cannot take all of them.

Also, I most likely will not be able to start until 9-10 pm Friday night.
