Now that's done you might want to do a restart although it may not be necessary.  Now open the program and then '''File-Open'''.  Here is a list of Macro's available but most are for another game (Ashteron's Call or something?).  However, there is a macro in there called '''"atitd slate clay grass.mac"'''.  This is a great Macro for collecting.  It is not completely automated which means that you have to move the avatar but there is no need to click on the icon.  This is particularly useful for collecting clay...run, and you can't click fast enough...walk, and it takes an age.  This one automatically stops over the slate and pick it up whenever the avatar passes over it.

So a couple of tips to make sure it works.  when you have opened the Macro, you need to enter the parameters in the bottom right hand of the program window.  This is where you set it to run for a certain number of cycles.  I set mine to 1,000,000 or 100,000 so that it is running for as long as I want it too.  Then click the start button also on the bottom right hand corner of the program window.  Then make sure that the atitd window is the main focus window (especially important if you are using dual monitors).  Move your avatar over the item you want to collect, say slate, and then hover your cursor over the slate icon (top left of screen).  Then press F2 on your keyboard.  Your avatar should collect the slate.  then every time your avatar is moved over slate it will stop and collect the slate.  If this becomes annoying you can pause the macro  in the program next to the start button.  Make sure that your avatar emote is set to: Walk.

My Life In Egypt

I started my life in Egypt alongside my wife (not rl) Kattena. Katt and I began working together on Newbie Island and decided to stick together in Egypt. We worked well as a team and that is what the Tale in the Desert is all about; Teamwork.

So my goals this tale are:

To work more closely with my chosen main guild Paradise Plains.

To level up...achieve the most levels I can with the time I have to spend in game

To build a home with Kattena, seperate to the guild

Last tale I felt a bit lost and well behind in my grasp of the tale and it's objectives. This gives me a forth objective:

To build a better understanding of the way the game flows

My weakness I believe is not taking the time to study the wiki enough. Katt tells me I am too keen to level rather than relax in the game. Perhaps I need to work at that! I see the same weaknesses in the tale as I see in real life! lol :0)

So here are some useful and important links coordinates:

Home sweet home - 2233,2767 (This is actually my cp...I'm hoping to have a proper home outside of PP with Kattena in due course and this will just become my workshop)

Helpful tips for Worship Initiation

I found it useful to do a dry run of the circuit for this principle. On the Paradise Plains Wiki there is a useful guide and map of the circuit. I also made sure that I had landmarked the mine and the Ritual Torch to help finding it easier. However the landmarks are not pinpoint accurate so you may need to use your co'ords to get to the exact spot for the Ritual Torch which is harder to see than the mine.

Another issue is to make sure that both parties understand the procedure. One should take the lead in giving instructions. Then decide who is going to do the incantations and who is going to make the sacrifices. Also, think carefully about the skill you are going to learn and make sure you have a back up if you fail (like we did!). The time is tight on this principle, but it is a lot of fun..my favourite so far!

One other thing I found tricky was copying and pasting the incantations from the wiki without quotes. Therefore, to speed it up I have made a table below to make it easier to copy and paste. I hope you find this useful.

Worship Incantations

Open a separate browser window and copy and paste the following incantations into the Main chat window (no other chat in this window). I have followed the order of the circuit described in the Paradise Plains Wiki page.

Horus Praise Horus, King of Egypt!
Bastet Praise Bastet, who teaches grace and elegance!
Amun Praise Amun, who gives us reason to celebrate!
Isis Praise Isis, whose seed is forever fertile!
Thoth Praise Thoth, the Magician who created Science!
Osiris Praise Osiris, who was Reborn like the Scarab!
Ra Praise Ra, of the Blazing Eye!

Macro's for Dummies (Like Me!)

I finally worked out how to use macro's. Whoot! As a Vista user I thought the following may help you. If you haven't used Macro's before first you need to download and install AC Tools from here: http://www.actool.net Download the first program NOT "AC Tools Source". When you have downloaded the program it doesn't install a shortcut to your desktop or start menu so go to Computer - Hard Drive (Volume C:) - Programs - AC Tools. Then right click the ACTool.exe file and select "Send to" then "Create Shortcut (Desktop)". While there, if you are running Windows Vista go:- right click - properties - select "compatability" then place a tick in the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and ensure that Windows XP (Service Pack 2) is selected. Also put a tick in "Run this program as an administrator, then Apply and OK.

Now that's done you might want to do a restart although it may not be necessary. Now open the program and then File-Open. Here is a list of Macro's available but most are for another game (Asheron's Call or something?). However, there is a macro in there called "atitd slate clay grass.mac".

So if you are on a particular slate run, just click to the end of the run and the avatar will stop and click all the slate it passes over automatically :)

I will add additional links to other atitd macro's here in due course.
