It seems a good idea to note down some thoughts as life here along the Nile progresses.  I have noticed a great deal of competition rising amongst some of the people of the land.  I personally believe Wahim is behind it all, attempting to drive the land towards comflict, perhaps even war, and thus stopping his older brother Sami from ascending to Pharaoh.  It will be interesting to see who jumps behind Wahim and who falls in with Sami.  Already major conflict has arisen with the building of obelisks in the land.  I wonder what my great, great, great, great grandmother would say.  Grandmother goes around telling me she remembers having to build an obelisk that was nearly 200 cubits in height, and how she had to haul the materials up a hill to a plateau with only grandfather helping AND after the damn (yes, she said damn) thing was built, you couldn't even see it in the valley below.  Maybe I'll just stick to working with the priests at the University of Worship. ~N~

*The gods must have smiled on me.  I actually got an obelisk built and it held power long enough to be fully charged!  Asum was so excited for me.  Grandmother even came down the Nile to see it and complained about how us kids have things easy if an obelisk "that puny" could impress the gods.  It really must have been luck, because no obelisk in Stillwater has been able to become fully charged since then.  Asum teases me and says I used up all the power for mine.  I've promised to help gather materials for his obelisk - I think I will have dreams about flax and linen forever now.  Harking back to the Priests at the University of Worship... seems I need a partner for my studies there.  I'm going to ask Asum if he'll partner with me, I hope he says yes. ~N~

A happy resident of Stillwater, Nemira lives along the Nile near the boarder to Adn with her life mate, Asum. Tales of the glory of Egypt have been passed down to her for many generations and her mother constantly reminds her of the grandlegacy that Nemira is carrying on.

  • It seems a good idea to note down some thoughts as life here along the Nile progresses. ~N~

  • The gods must have smiled on me.
