AlexisBelle: no trading no talking

AlexisBelle: no anything
 +
Geodude: I love you too Alexis
 +
Nkuku: good, coz to me that would be an offence.
 +
Geodude: Haha, but it still wouldn't be against the rules =D
 +
Nkuku: So the rules say that you can offend anyone, in whatever way you see fit?
 +
Nkuku: I bet Teppy didn't intend it to be like that.
 +
Geodude: The rules say that players deal with offense
 +
Geodude: "We do not have a policy against offensive behavior" is pretty straightforward to me
 +
Dachannien: the only hard rules are that you can't use exploits (building things on top of other things, unattended macroing, etc.), but the soft rule is if you sow the wind you'll eventually reap the whirlwind
 +
Nkuku: doesn't mean that they don't take action, if it hurts their reputation and costs them money.
 +
AlexisBelle: dont talk with him then he will not get what he is seeking
 +
AlexisBelle: Hi Am
 +
Geodude: If they feel it necessary they can, of course, ban me from the game, but it would be pretty hyppocritical of them to ban someone who didn't break a rule in a game where a good portion involves writing the laws themself.
 +
Am-Khaibitu: hi Al :D
 +
Nkuku: Well, if being offended (in whatever decent or vulgar way) is a part of this game, they'll have to make it 18+.
 +
Nkuku: that would certainly hurt their finances.
 +
Nkuku: which would mean that they would certainly change the rules. if that is necessary at this point at all.
 +
Geodude: This game doesn't have a rating
 +
Am-Khaibitu: thank you citizens for voting at "Crescent Moon" art a few secs north from CS on road! :D
 +
Geodude: It is unrated by the ESRB
 +
Am-Khaibitu: just 10 more votes
 +
Ramessu: online interactions in MMOs are never rated by the ESRB
 +
AlexisBelle: EVERYONE is giving him what he wants
 +
Rym: when 'offensive' behaviour beecomes disruptive then trun into a differnt category
 +
Rym: and can become a bannable offense
 +
Geodude: That is patently untrue, they just have a little blurb saying that "game experience may change during online play"
 +
Rym:  albiet a variety of other measures can be adopted before then
 +
Geodude: But MMOs sold in stores are, in fact, rated.
 +
Geodude: Is ignoring an obelisk queue disruptive?
 +
Dachannien: a blurb that provides no guidance as to actual content would qualify as "unrated" in my book
 +
Rym: one common step if it is porfanity in the regional or other 'public' chats and the 'offender' does not comply wiht requests is for a GM to give the player 'prison time'
 +
Ramessu: the content produced by the developers is rated.  the content provided by player interaction is not.  that's what that blurb means
 +
Rym: no ignoring an Obleisk queue is competition
 +
Geodude: Of course, and any offensive behavior in this game in particular would not cause the game to be rated any higher then it is (which is not at all)
 +
Rym: there is nothing banneable about that
 +
Mortality: Well Geodude has offended me and upset me.
 +
Rym: having a queue can be as 'disruptive' by the same token
 +
Rym: and to offer a concrete example
 +
Geodude: And there is no policy against offensive behavior, so get a DP elected and have them banish me, don't complain to the GMs about it.
 +
Rym:  in T1 a simlar apporach crought upon egypt a de facto cartel controlling hte 'Conflict discippline'
 +
Mortality: its not just me hes griefed
 +
Rym: everything can degrade but does not mean that neceassarily it is good or bad
 +
Rym:  is the extent and scope that eventually will assign the final evalution if something is abnneable or not
 +
Nkuku: You all know that he also tried to blackmail Mort right? That he asked for 100 linen to clean everything up?
 +
Geodude: Blackmail isn't against the rules either.
 +
Geodude: And to be honest, if I got the linen, I would have used it to make 100 more beehives.
 +
Nkuku: I thought so.
 +
AlexisBelle: and thats why someone esle and not u got it :-)
 +
Geodude: Of course I didn't expect to get the linen, it would have been ridiculous to give it to me.

Rules of Conduct

1. If you are active in the game, and an eGenesis staffer asks you a question, you must respond. Naturally, this implies that you must be alert and paying attention whenever you're actively doing anything in the game.

2. You are allowed to use keyboard shortcut programs, mouse accelerators, and other macro tools. However, no matter how convenient these tools are, rule 1 still applies - if we ask you a question, you must be there to answer it.

3. We do not have a policy against offensive behavior, but be aware - if you offend the other players, they have the power to punish you. They can even exile you permanently from the land of Egypt - game over, don't come back. If you choose to behave in a way that is annoying to other players, we will not protect you from the wrath of the other players.

4. Avoid straining the game masters. If you need a hint or help solving a puzzle, ask your question in the chat room before calling a game master. However, if a genuine bug is adversely affecting you, do not hesitate to call.

5. It is against the rules to use programs that accelerate the client, make your character run faster, or which enable your character to perform the tasks in the game at a accelerated speed.

6. Each player is entitled to one free account with 24 hours of gameplay. Using more than one free account consitutes theft of services.

7. We reserve the right to remove you entirely at our own discretion.
