Mutagen Lab Project
This project is dedicated to providing the entire array of current mutagens to anyone in Egypt. Below I will outline a list of materials needed and why the entire array of mutagens is needed to 'build' with mutagens on crossbreedable plants. To obtain the mutagens, a charted 'build' will need to be submitted. That will also be explained below.
Why have a central mutagen factory and not single or a few labs scattered throughout Egypt? A mutagen switches two genes in a genome. The goal at first is to find enough mutagens to hit perhaps an eighteen gene long genome on each of its genes. To do this it might take 30 to 50 mutagens to have enough to hit each of the eighteen genes and be able to switch the type of gene you need into its proper place. This ensures your ability to 'build' wherever you want inside that genome. So to make sure you are able to 'build' what you want, where you want in a genome, you will most probably need access to the entire array of mutagens or it will be impossible to complete your new creations. Mutagens are also expensive to discover, not to mention the expense of just one mutagen lab. Each mutagen lab will be oozing its mutagen for 30 days so many labs are needed.
Mutagen Lab Mats:
Material | Amount for 1 Lab | Amount for 50 Labs | Current Donated | Simpler Mats | Person Making the Mat |
Resin(any type) | 5000 | 250000 | 60000
Herb Seeds(any type)* | 500 | 25000 | 0
Black Raeli Tiles | 500 | 25000 | 0
Clay | 120 | 6000 | 0 | ||
6000+ quality distillation coil | 1 | 50 | 0 | ash, potash, lime, cc | Eigam |
Mirrors | 6 | 300 | 0 | ash, potash, lime, cc, Sheet Glass, Silver Powder | Ariella |
Thermometers | 3 | 150 | 0 | ash, soda, lime, cc, Glass Pipes | Ariella |
- Herb seeds will be sorted to take out those needed for techs.
The target is 50 labs in the Flower Compound in Falcon Bay at 4331 -464 a little north of the chariot stop. Garden of Eden warehouses are located there for:
Mushrooms, Salt, Quicksilver, Water in Jugs
Resin
Clay, Mirrors, Coils, Thermos
Black Raeli Tiles
Herb Seeds
A Mutagenics Lab uses 1 Salt, 1 Quicksilver, Water in Jugs and mushrooms to brew the mutagen recipe learned at a University of Thought. See the Mutagens guide on how to discover new mutagens. When discovering new mutagen recipes it takes approximately 20-40 Salt and Quicksilver plus around 30 of each shroom per each recipe. Donations of these materials is very much appreciated along with donations of wood or charcoal to produce quicksilver would help.
What do we mean by submitting a 'build'?
Let's take the flower genome of Fracture since size seems to matter. Refer to Genomes and Phenome Theories Links.
ROYGROYGYORGORGOOO
The giant phenome or gene set is ROYG. Fracture naturally has two sets of these. Convenient isn't it? But a giantx2 is never big enough. So we want a giantx4 or four sets of ROYG, the largest we could 'build' with an eighteen length genome.
Fracture genome | R | O | Y | G | R | O | Y | G | Y | O | R | G | O | R | G | O | O | O |
Genes to switch | R | Y | R | O | Y | G | ||||||||||||
Mutagens needed | Kh5 | M2 | SA23 | SA14 | CCR44 | M36 |
The mutagens needed are decided by looking at a mutagen hit chart. This gives the build' list and helps conserve mutagens. Donations of shrooms can be chosen from a list to help in replacing the mutagens.
