<b>Region Finder:</b> Enter X,Y coordinates and it will tell you what region it is located. I wrote this because I got tired of trying to figure out which region the mushroom coords on [http://shroomdar.dorzure.com/ Shroomdar] was located.

<b>Region Finder Source Code:</b>

[[User:Cegaiel/RegionFinder | View Source Code]] - Source code for a standalone .html page (javascript) of Region Finder that will allow you to punch in x,y coordinates and have the region name displayed. <b>Note:</b> The version on my Web Tools version is a little more advanced (than the above html/javascript version) and has more features, because it was written in .asp (Visual Basic) and more easily customizable (as this is my specialty).  It will create/append your coordinates into a Google Map code that you can use on your personal wiki page.  I wrote this standalone java page in case I should ever choose to close down my webpage.  At least with this version, the page can continue into this and future tales.

Ever wonder what the coordinates of where each region borders stop/start?  Well here it is! Features a clickable Google map and some regular images for comparison. I spent a whole day running around to all ends of the world to ensure accuracy. I created this page to help produce the above <b>Region Finder</b> project.

<B>My Compound/House</b> is located in <B>Shabbat Ab 1282, 1785</b>. See my Landmarks page for a map. I am located at the letter <B>(M)</b> on map (for ME). Shabbat Ab is formerly known as <B>Seven Lakes</b> by our Grandparents. This is the zone below/south of Stillwater. Just west of CS across river (yes there is a shortcut across river directly west (and tad south) of CS (in sand area on map), you do not need to run to a bridge from CS, just head west)

Region Finder Project (Open Source Code)

This is the source code for a standalone .html page (javascript) version of Region Finder that will allow you to punch in X,Y coordinates and have the region name displayed. The version on my webtools is not javascript, but Visual Basic (VBscript/ASP - Active Server Pages). This version does NOT make the google map code, like in on my webpage.

Note: I wrote this standalone java page in case I should ever choose to close down my webpage. At least with this version, the project can continue into this and future tales. The source code is absolutely, positively PUBLIC DOMAIN, use it any way you like.

Projects that use Region Finder:

Shroomdar 2 - Player submitted mushroom locations database. As you move the mouse around the map, the region will display in the bar on top right of page.

Egypt Regions Border Map

Ever wonder where the coordinates of each region's borders starts/stops? Well here it is! Features a clickable Google map and some regular images for comparison. I spent a whole day running around to all ends of the world to ensure accuracy. I created this page to help produce the above Region Finder project.
