Preparations

Ambrosia

Player requirements for Maat vary, just like the other festivals. One person might need "leaves: magenta," and another might need "outer petals: cyan." Once you know your requirement for the ritual, you can test any Rose of Ra (menu item on the flower) to see if it works, or you can simply look up a breeder with verified flowers that match Maat requirements. Note: roses must have at least shade 2 of the specified colour Another note: you don't need to test your requirements at an altar before testing flowers directly to see if they'll work for your ambrosia.

To make the ambrosia, you will need to 'Harvest for petals' (menu item on the flower). This kills the flower and gives you one petal. Mix this petal with honey in a kitchen. This takes ten minutes.

Ritual Torches

Note that the festival requires 21 Ritual Torches, not glass torches. Ritual torches cost 1 Canvas and 1 Board with the Ritual Item Construction skill to construct. You will need to soak each torch with 1 Oil, after which it can be lit.

Ritual torches burn for a few minutes (10 minutes) and then disappear. Maat altar riggings are thus temporary, though some designated altars may be pre-prepared - watch for announcements of usable altars. It is possible to salvage the torches before they finish burning for a chance of recovering canvas and boards, but do not do this before all in attendance have pleased Maat.

Procedure

  1. Light the 21 ritual torches when everyone sacrificing is ready and has confirmed they have their ambrosia to hand.
  2. Click on the altar and sacrifice your ambrosia.
  3. When everyone has pleased Maat, salvage any ritual torches still burning before they disappear.
