Back again for another telling! I am happy to say that I am living with some old friends, whom I love dearly. Our camp is situated in Meroe, on the twin lakes within the curve of the UART road. [[1]]

I am also an elder in Worship World. [[2]] We will strive to help you with all of your worship needs. We are currently starting to collect mats for vigils. All donations are gratefully accepted! We will also help guide you through Worship Initiations and Pilgrimages. Stop on by, the Worship World guild is located directly East from Meroe CS. If you pass Uart, you have gone too far!

Monkey Poem

Zomboe's Monkey Poem contest Winner - Thank you, Zomboe! The hatchet is wonderful!!! ~Korrin

There was a monkey with fleas,
He danced in circles and was teased.
The Otters made merry,
and the camels were harried,
and the sheep all fell to their knees.

This monkey's name was Ratchet,
and he needed some way to scratch it,
He went to Zomboe,
but he wasn't home,
so much for a trade for a hatchet!

A hatchet would scratch it,
but oh what would match it,
Would somebody take pity on him please?

Itchy and forlorn,
he headed for home,
but whom did he see in his way?
Zomboe stood there,
with a something shiny and fair,
at his feet a hatchet did lay.

"Take this", he did say,
"and forget the pay,
for you have won this day with your poem."

Almelkehdes: Im from Adn, I live on the east delta island. My main thing is wine, and I make about 300-350 bottles an egyptian month. I head the egyptian wine and beer consortium, and Im not a hard core player but I play a lot. Anyway, thats me.

Khaemwaset: a little info about me. i am based in sinai. I am more of a casual player who likes to pick and choose tests and tchs to specialise in. I prefer Body and harmony tests. And i have yet to find a tech to specialise in. Sooo many to choose from. i enjoy talkign to people and help where I can.

Korrin: if folks can't have fun, due to someone else's behavior.. they should have an avenue to go to for help. that is where a dp comes in.

Korrin: as long as there is wheat needed in cooking and beers, we will never be free

Dors: I got myself a theoretical situation to run by you, when you're around (anyone who's trying to advance)

Korrin: ban him ;P

Korrin: oh wait.. i guess i better hear you out first :P

Dors: Sorry, you spoke too soon

Dors: And I switched away from the window!

Dors: Alrighty... there's a Valley

Dors: 200 coordinates long by 200 coordinates wide... a fairly large place

Dors: At the beginning of a Tale, Guild A settles in the valley, and puts up signs throughout the entire place claiming the land as theirs. But then, they become inactive for several months

Dors: In the meantime, Guild B moves into part of the deserted valley, ignoring the signs claiming the land for Guild A

Dors: a few members of Guild A return, and are infuriated to find Guild B on their land. Guild B refuses to move, and the members of Guild A comes to you for help. What do you do?

Korrin: bout all one can do... see if a negotiation can be made to get them to move off a little. unfortunately, there is nothing wrong with them building so close

Korrin: fighting amougst themselves does no good.. cuz group b did not do anything wrong. although it wasn't nice

Korrin: that actually is a good example of when a dp should be brought in.. so that feelings don't get hurt.. and there is a 3rd party to go through

Korrin: things don't get personal then

Dors: What things could a DP do wrong that would make the situation worse?

Korrin: play a he said/she said game

Korrin: the dp should always leave individual names out out of it.... when dealing with group a... don't give group name b names and vice versa

Korrin: if you start saying things like 'well xxoo said that you suck'.. then what good is the dp?

Dors: That's acceptable, but the answer I was looking for was failure to get the whole story before passing judgement

Dors: Under what circumstances would Korrin ban a player?

Korrin: unfortunately.. there isn't much of a story there. looking for judgement would be more in a none building type of situation

Korrin: that situation you named was purely a land dispute

Dors: It was, and it wasn't very hypothetical, I must admit

Dors: But I do believe our existing DPs handled it very poorly

Dors: Back in 10 minutes!

Korrin: me? ban? hardly ever. i have seen very few situations that a ban was necessary. most cases, the player that was banned wanted to be banned and was expecting it

Korrin: when what's his face stole his wifes stuff... yes morally wrong.. and i hated that.. but...

Korrin: that is the risk of the game. and if it is a matter of a terms of service breach.. like stealing a monkey that was paid for with rl money? then that is a teppy call

Korrin: if you all want someone that is quick with a ban stick, then i am not your candidate.

Korrin: i would most likely use it for a decoration on my wall than anything... like the vice principal at my school did :P was just to scare the kids good

Korrin: you know.. those big paddles with the holes in it?

Dors: You played Yokir?

Korrin: i play Euchre.. not Yokir :P

Dors: And what's wrong with Yokir?

Korrin: it is the same thing.. only in game. never played it in here

Korrin: whenever an event happens like that, i'm usually too busy with organinzing a vigil or a pilgrimage. worship stuff takes up most of my time, since i'm worship world elder

Korrin: or modding on e!

Korrin: i don't have time to play games hehehe

Dors: Yokir is three players, not four

Korrin: lol... see! i never played it. but i heard it was the same

Korrin: 3 handed euchre is possible

Dors: The intent behind the test design was to make a Euchre variation that could be played on a portable table

Dors: Something that could be dropped and picked up like a Hookah

Dors: To be used at cuttable digs, and the like

Korrin: very cool

Dors: Unfortunately, it fell along the wayside with Conflict

Dors voted for Korrin as Demi-Pharaoh.

Dors: Don't screw up!

Korrin: if it comes up again, i'll try to make it to a conflict shrine and try to play it.

Almelkehdes: his timer is still way off, I dont think it had anything to do with the eca. My raeli oven is burning a lot slower, and mining at 4 sec intervals is sapping str Khaemwaset: ??
