The Glazier Bench must be filled with at least 19 debens of glass to make any Glass Products. So, if you want to make 1 Glass Product, you must have 20 debens of glass in the bench.
Basic information
- While in operation, a Glazier's Bench follows a pattern of heat, maintain, cool
- Ticks (changes) in temperature occur every six (approx) seconds
- While the bench is heating or maintaining, if you add charcoal, it will cause the temperature to spike (upwards of 1000)
- When at your desired temperature, work in increments of 2 charcoal to prevent drastic changes.
- Each type of glass has a working temperature and a melting temperature
- Melting temp is the point at which you can use your raw materials to make the type of glass
- Working temp is the point at which you can make your piece of glass into an object
Methods of operation
- Heat your bench initially with charcoal (CC). You can add CC while the bench is heating to cause it to spike, shortening the time until temp is at workable temperature (temp)
- Bring the temp above your maximum working temp and let it begin to cool
- As the temp passes below the maximum working temp, begin your project
- When the temp is 200 degrees below the maximum working temp, add 2 CC
- Continue the process of adding 2 CC as soon as the temp begins to cool
- Do not create any additional items when your temp begins to near the minimum working temp (this depends on time left on object and temp)
- When you have no project being cooled, add 2 CC to bench, wait until it heats, and then add 2 more
- This spike will bring the temperature near (or above, hence not having a current project) the maximum working temp
- Follow the earlier process of letting the bench cool to the working zone and start the cycle again
