Forge Cost Calculator created by Kevinb in Excel. It calculates the ore cost of the most commonly forged items at the moment. It also calculates the charcoal costs of smelting the ore into metal, and the charcoal costs of forge time. To find out the resource and forge time cost of an item, enter the number of items you want in the columns in the upper left.
The Forge Cost Calculator is currently set up as if you were smelting with a compression furnace 500 ore at a time, getting a .03 yield. If you are using a different method figure out the yield by dividing the metal you get by the ore you use, then put that number in the "copper per 500" and the "iron per 500" section. The charcoal costs will be likely be inaccurate with using another smelting method.
Will add more items and items of other metals in time.
