Harmony Ridge route

This is essentially the T3 route described on this page on the T3 wiki, re-surveyed for T4. I moved tower #11 to a slightly better spot.

Placing the first 20 towers along this route, and accounting for the minimum height needed to clear the ridge, we end up with the pump at height 355 and the last tower at height 54. The towers can later be raised to accommodate further expansion, but the bulk of the hard work is done at the start.

(Warning: the below figures are highly speculative and don't match T3 numbers. Can't verify them until the pump is up. Chat me for an explanation)

Tower raising costs (raise towers by 1560 feet total):

Material T4 est T3 SAWW estimate
Bricks 106,000 106,000 92,000
Concrete 3,120 3,120 4,100 - 2,000 tower construction cost
Cut Stone 2,335 2,345 1,580
Pipe Segments 94 108 130

Pump raising costs (upgrade from height=100 to height=355)

Material T4 est T3 SAWW estimate
Bricks 116,025 116,025 30,000
Concrete 5,801 5,801 1,500
Cut Stone 1,802 1,789 502
Pipe Segments 25 26 10
Gearboxes 51 51 20

Totals (including SAWW's above+beyond):

Material T4 est T3 SAWW
Bricks 222,025 222,025 227,000
Concrete 8,921 8,921 6,600
Cut Stone 4,137 4,134 5,082
Pipe Segments 119 134 180
Gearboxes 51 51 20
(large gears) 10 10 5
(medium gears) 306 306 120
(small gears) 510 510 200

NB: if the pump can be raised by 100 feet per upgrade, does that mean we get 20 gearboxes at a time?

Interesting heights:

  • Pump height of 100 allows the first tower to be built
  • Pump height of 154 allows the first 2 towers to be built
  • Pump height of 214 allows the first 4 towers to be built
  • Pump height of 244 allows the first 5 towers to be built
  • Pump height of 266 allows the first 9 towers to be built
  • Pump height of 284 allows the first 10 towers to be built
  • Pump height of 330 allows the first 11 towers to be built
  • Pump height of 355 allows all 20 towers to be built
