Welcome to A Wiki in the Desert, a wiki for the Massively Multiplayer On-line Role-Playing Game A Tale in the Desert.

This wiki exists to document the game and to provide a community scratchpad for the players. You can find guides on things such as growing Flax, an Atlas of interesting places, and various personal pages created by the Users and Guilds. If you're looking to buy and sell, try Trading.

Anyone with an ATITD game account can edit any page on this site, but you have to log in first. Please read the user's guide and information on formatting to see how to edit, and read our Policies before editing. Politics are not welcome (exception: Users pages, but no personal attacks please) and, if you want to discuss something such as laws, you'll find the forums more suitable. If you have any difficulties, please ask around in game or contact a wiki admin.

If you have a suggestion for how to improve the wiki software, please add it to the Suggestions page. If you have a suggestion for improving the content, please just go ahead and do it! If you want to contribute but don't know how, start creating missing pages listed here, or verify the information in pages containing unchecked content copied from the T3 wiki.

The Staff of Life

Wheat, from which comes bread, the Staff of Life. We will have a Wheat growing event

You will have to build a silo, for 200 boards and 20 canvas, if you don't already have one. Wheat grown within 32 coordinates of the silo will automatically be contributed to the silo. The owner of the silo will get credit for the wheat. Silo owners can win prizes for the most debens of wheat contributed to the silo, the most number of beds that are contributed to the silo, or the greatest number of workers that contribute to the silo. An individual can also win prizes for having the greatest number of Peers, people that have given wheat to silo which you have also given wheat.

Prizes will be:

     *1 Huntsman's Fishing Pole for the top in each category 
 
 

For Total Debens:

    *5 Silk Cloth by Lottery to 7 people 
 
    *50 Thoth's Metal to each of the top 7 
 
    *20 Cuttable Turquoise to each of the top 21  

 

For Beds:

    *1 Portable Cornerstone by Lottery to 7 people  

    *50 Gold to each of the top 7  

    *100 Cement to each of the top 21  

 

For Workers:

    *250 Raw Silk by Lottery to 7 people 
 
    *50 Moon Steel to each of the top 7  

    *20 Cuttable Sunstone to each of the top 21  

 

For Peers:

    *7 Mining Pick by Lottery 
 
    *50 Water Metal to each of the top 7 
 
    *250 Concrete to each of the top 21 

Results

Nikomedes: Good Morning Egypt! Here are the results of the Staff of Life wheat growing Event:

Nikomedes: For Totals Beds, in first place we have Orrin with 1759 beds. He gets a lovely Huntsman's Fishing Pole. Rounding out the Top 7 we have Traak with 1045, Sqatsi with 507, Thaine with 504, TheMazeEcho with 387, Andrea with 288, and Toldy with 226. They each get 50 debens of Gold! The Top 21 were Udjai, Catlyn, Anyolina, nourbese, usia, Benisotous, DiamondDust, kapetanissa, Kyline, Letsnow, bedda, akc2, Ephemere, and dedenav squeeked in with 80 beds grown. They each got 100 cement. Winning the Portable Cornerstones for beds grown we have: nourbese, Thaine, DiamondDust, Sqatsi, Catlyn, usia and Traak Nikomedes: For Total Debens, in first place we have Orrin again with 107,472 debens and another Huntsman's pole. Yes, you can pester him for wheat, he has plenty. The rest of the Top 7 were Sqatsi with 73669, Traak with 72713, TheMazeEcho with 38458, Thaine with 38080, Udjai with 23829, and Andrea with 18099. Fifty Thoth's metal to each of them. The Top 21 were: 16760 Toldy, 12665 usia, 9853 Anyolina, 9215 nourbese, 8855 Letsnow, 8773 Catlyn, 6701 Trillian, 6514 kapetanissa, 6388 akc2, 5629 makoto, 5310 Benisotous, 4955 DiamondDust, 4856 SueVN, and 4675 Ephemere who won 20 Cuttable Turquouise. The Lottery winners for the silk cloth were: Anyolina, Sqatsi, Nitocris, nourbese, Thaine, Traak and kapetanissa

Nikomedes: For Workers we have Orrin in first place again. Really? Kind of boring at this point. I guess we know what he wins, again. The rest of the Top 7 are: 18 bedda, 18 Toldy, 18 Zildjan, 15 Catlyn, 15 Traak, 14 Anyolina who get 50 Moon Steel each. The rest of the Top 21 are: 13 Letsnow, 12 Iy-Nefer, 11 SueVN, 11 Udjai, 11 Pascalito, 11 Ephemere, 10 Nitocris, 10 Mortality, 9 TheMazeEcho, 9 hilly, 9 AlexisBelle, 9 Nchanter, 9 Noreferti, 9 Injeru each of whom gets 20 Cuttable Sunstones. The winners of the lottery for 250 raw silk are: zara, hill, DustyDude, Sharae, Toldy, hilly and Robare

Nikomedes: For the most Peers is.....NOT ORRIN....it is Numaris! So he gets himself a nice new Huntsman's Fishing Pole. The Top 7 are: 127 Chrido, 125 Letsnow, 103 spy, 98 Alciphron, 95 bloomdido, and 75 Mortality who get 50 Water Metal each. The Top 21 are: 51 Kace, 45 RosieRazor, 45 Maevre, 44 Seba, 43 Anyolina, 43 Korrin, 40 Thaine, 39 Elfus, 38 DiamondDust, and 38 DustyDude who walk away with 250 concrete each. The winners of the Mining Picks by lottery are: AnieW, Moses, Asnath, Udjai, Narlee, Orrin (not again!) and Letsnow

Numaris: You neglected to mention the top scores for Workers and Peers

Nikomedes: Wow, someone is actually reading this stuff? Orrin had 37 for the Most Workers, and Numaris had 143 for the Most Peers

How to Log In

If you have problems logging in, please contact FaceAnkh or JulianJaynes ingame (or just FaceAnkh by IRC, forum PM, etc).

Before you can log in you must set your webpass in game: Log into the game and type /webpass atitd.org password (meaning you replace password with your password).

Once you have created a web pass you log in here with "Login with OpenId" (top right).

Your open id is atitd.org/openid/YourName.

You should be sent to a page to then type in your account name and password you set in game with the webpass command. If you logged in to openid recently, it won't ask again.

Pluribus has said that he's working on an intel native port for the OSX client. As such he's going MIA until 'the player meet probably', so give the guy some shhh, no more clinker bombs in his backyard!
