BooBoo's Blog
When it was two days into the new tale I decided to begin my blog again. I am pleased that so many of my old friends are in Egypt and hope to make new ones as the tale moves forward. Please note the most recent date is first on the blog.

Hmmmm, Every so often my nemesis Tantalizing, who shall now be known as Rant, puts a Tants Rant on the top of my page. Why? Because she can. There is no particular rhyme or reason to tant except we have been going at each other (in quite humorous ways) for the last two tales. She writes tants rant on the top of my blog; I put dung on her when I see her. Nothing truly exciting. She puts tants rant part II on my blog, I do a hambone on her foot. That’s about it. Sometimes we go at it in chat. For those that don't know we have been poking fun at each other for two tales, please note, it's all in fun and certainly not done.
Honorable mention this evening goes to Pitaboo. My dear friend from TSO (I can't believe I’m admitting to having played that game) and Tale 2, where she was previously known as ChaviRam. Pitaboo moved her entire compound down to Saqq to be near us ummmm Funnyboners? Funnybone people? Funnybonites?
The chariot stop opened in Saqq this evening thanks to a group effort of teaching one and all chariot repair. To prove even further that Teppy hates us former Karnakians, he gave us one region to go to so far, the neighboring region of Meroe. I put up a sculpture of a Welcome sign up the road from the chariot stop to warmly welcome one and all who come to visit. Did I mention that when someone uses the word indeed I always smile and chuckle? Indeed.

The big dig. Thank you to DanDruff and Merek for making this all possible. Note to self: next time put BooBoo's name on for the picture. This was one of the most enjoyable experiences to date. There was truly a wonderful camaraderie amongst us all. Kelly received all of the signatures required for her leadership petition. ScupperArbuckle is going to try out for Dancing with the Stars doing the hambone that he so aptly displayed. Chariot Repair and various techs were taught during dig time. DanDruff will probably visit the chiropractor along side Merek and Penates after picking up so many stones. Everyone who attended receives honorable mention this evening. Aloca, Sitamun, AlaricRa, Maata, Wafflehowse (my stomach grumbles for food when I see the name,) MouseD (thank you for mining,) Kuupid (what kind of headache do you have at the end of the day after wearing that hat?) Jodpar (who I spotted running for acro in Meroe,) Kelly, Jaspyr, Serefina, Morlex, Nalynas (who said it was quite one of the most enjoyable events she had attended also,) Vulpine, Rena, VicVic, Jannoo, and Seeker. Donations were taken for further research for technologies. It is an honor and pleasure to have spent such a lovely time today with all of you.
On a side note, when acro was revealed while we were proceeding with the dig, I said, "shoot me if I get Jumping Jacks." I didn't really mean it. My acro move for anyone that needs it is............Jumping Jacks. Enjoy the evening.
December 20, 2008 Home for the weekend
I did the hambone on Wahim's toe while he hung out at the chariot stop in Saqq tonight. Many thanks to Nubiti for providing me with the last signature required on my leadership petition. It was a wonderful evening. The Saqqians joined together in teaching the chariot skill after it was bestowed on us by a traveler. Thank you to MouseD for teaching me this most important skill. We were all watching the auction on the Event channel as Balthazarr won the mic and opened up the E! channel for all to rant. (not to be confused with tant who rants) and I built a sheep pen and went about my business trying to grow enough onions to feed them for awhile. At 4 per harvest this may take a few days before I place any sheep in the pen. I was going to rant for awhile about how I stopped many people just to chat in different regions (yes, even after my leadership petition was filled) and that people just passed me by and never stopped or said anything. But, I will save that for another day. Have a great evening.
December 19, 2008 As written below I chose to run home for the weekend. On my way home I stopped in Stillwater where I was greeted by Layla, Hobbit, Katar, Nemira, Baldanah and my dear old friend from Tale 3 Mosen. Bahaumaut signed my leadership petition and Nemira was kind enough to say she would meet me but alas she was near the northern border and I was in the Deep South. I longed for many of my old friends after chatting a bit with mosen and at that point chose to run back to Saq for the weekend and return on my journey next week to the last 4 regions. As I stepped over the border into Shabbat Ab or as I call it, Shabby, for short, Zahuri signed my petition gladly. Asnath and Menes gave me a big hello. Arguin signed me and I noticed the chat was filled with discussion about the new obelisk test. I viewed a large group gathered together near the Nile and approached hoping to meet new friends and of course give signatures and introductions and hope to receive a few. Arguin, Tlanthil, and Hitch were all kind enough to help me out and I signed and introduced those I could. The discussion about the obelisk was a bit disturbing as I realized that it could pit different regions against the others when they traveled purposely over the different borders.
I finally reached home after picking up some tar and was pleased that Saqqarah chat was as happy and friendly and drama free as I remember it. Tonight is a work night trying to catch up on skills and maybe a level if I'm lucky. Till tomorrow my friends.
December 18, 2008 I woke up in Nomads Paradise and crept towards Heavens Gate. In the Nomads chat Terrence89027 and Aziza gave a big hello and Zerda said he heard of strange happenings in Heavens Gate. I approached cautiously.
Heavens Gate - I immediately saw AbesGhost, ran over to him and he was either a ghost or AFK. He was standing near a small lake and it was a bit eerie. With apprehension I gave a big hello in the chat and was happy as anything to have it returned by RoyCallahan and Jeassi. I took notes as they told me of their love for the area. It was quite beautiful as I traveled around and noticed lovely flora all around. I was alarmed to see my main chat highlight. AbesGhost chatted me that he was AFK because his home from Tale 2 was destroyed when he went there. I felt terrible and made a note to check on him in the future as well as visit Roy and Jeassi who wiped away my original scary feeling.
Cats Claw Ridge - Galahad welcomed me (although he did state he was a foreigner) and I was jumping up and down when I saw my old friend Forgiving from Tale 2. She gave me the wonderful news that she and Jaxum were the proud parents of a 23 month old. She also mentioned that Jaxum blamed the happy event on the Qutara meteors. Big congratulations to Forgiving and Jaxum on the happy event. I searched the skies checking for meteors and took my anti-meteor pill before I went further.
Adn - Taff, Bessielou, and Serenity gave me a warm welcome. I did get a few questions about where Yogi was and sadly said that I hadn't found a Yogi yet in Tales 2 or 3. On a personal note: I did have a fake Yogi for a few weeks who never spoke to me. If he had then it would have been the voices in my head.) A lot of people were chatting and I attempted to complete Zoteps beautiful puzzle. Unfortunately I am terrible at puzzles and took note to return to Adn to complete Zotep's puzzle when I became more adept at puzzle completion.
On a side note: I am contemplating traveling south to my home tomorrow evening so I can enjoy the weekend in Saq, leveling, skilling, and helping out with techs. I will then return to my trip around the world on Sunday night or Monday evening. I am going to sleep on that.
December 17, 2008
Khmun I shouted out a big hello and wow, everyone was so friendly. A BIG thank you to Zowch, Signamati, Newguybc, Gabrielnight, and Ukla, for making my traveling through Khmun so enjoyable. I came across lovely flora as Zowch suggested I would and had a memorable trip meeting the residents of this lovely region.
Nomads' Paradise’’’ My big hello was responded to by Krakos, Serenthiel, and Zerda, I would like to thank them for their warm welcome. I passed a big Dig that had just begun and was warmed by the huge turnout and effort to support the Dig that was announced on the main chat. My friend from T3, MouseD was kind enough to hear me gab while I trekked along towards Heavens Gate. I have an eerie feeling that this is a very solitary area. In preparation for my next day’s journey, I left an update on my travels to my friend Kelly from Saq and found a sweet rock to rest my weary feet. My sandals are holding up to my surprise.
December 16, 2008 Tonight I am traveling in the desert north on the western side of Egypt. I am silent in chat as these are very peaceful moments when there are no cicada sounds or names upon the horizon. I planned on traveling north in the desert up to the tip of Meroe on the border and find a soft sandy spot to sleep for the evening. But, I started reading the chat on ENN about the meet. I stopped running and read at all the people of Egypt chatting about meeting one another in Pittsburgh and wondered if I would ever meet anyone while on my lonely trek to the four corners of Egypt. I admit I checked out prices from NYC to PA and knew that no one would know the solitary BooBoo running around the corners of the earth. So I begin my sleep right before I step into Khmun tomorrow evening and ponder this.
December 15, 2008 Tonight I am leaving my little abode in Saqqarah (Saq) or the former Karnak which I like to call it. The chat channel in Saq has been very friendly and there has not been any drama which I am extremely happy about. Everyone has been cheerful and helpful. I have begun my first part of my journey around Egypt. I hope to hit all four corners of the land before I head back to Saq.
Meroe - Everyone was very busy, as evidenced in chat, on diligently working on establishing techs in Meroe. My dear friend Korrin who has built a lovely crib in Meroe saved me from loneliness as I traveled down the roads. A kind gentleman, Challen, signed my initiation petition, my first signature, and was extremely polite. A short while after Korrin made note in regional chat that she was running through Meroe nekked, I moved on towards Queens Retreat.
Queens Retreat – Niankanet signed my petition and unfortunately I was afk at the moment, so a big yell out and thank you to her. Hans who had a trial account tried to sign it but wasn’t able to, hopefully Hans will join up and become a member of our wonderful land. I commented in the chat that I also lived in Queens, but Queens, NY and was thrilled that dusksgirl chatted me back that she is also a Queens resident and lives in her other life not too far from my mother. We gabbed for a bit as I made my way south and the ends of the earth. From there I moved westward to the very tip of the map. I received a chat from Selune, whom I had just met the other day in Saq; she wanted to tell me she had relocated to Meroe. It was such a kind message and I’m sure we will keep in touch. On my way to the corner of the Queens Retreat I picked up a few medium stones which are very nice. At the end of the evening’s trip I took this picture. It was a wonderful first night of traveling. I look forward to tomorrow evening.
