The thistle garden simulator
The thistle garden simulator is a work in progress. This is a current alpha version for testing
Instalation instructions for Windows (l)users
1. Install python 2.6 from http://python.org you need this file.
2. Install gtk libraries from http://gtk-win.sourceforge.net/home/index.php/en/Downloads get this file and optionaly this.
3. Go to http://www.pygtk.org/downloads.html and install pycairo, pygobject and pygtk.
4. Install python numeric extensions from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/numpy/files/NumPy/. You need to get tthis file.
5. [optional] To verify intsalation open python command line and type the commands : 'import gtk' , 'import numpy'
6. [optional] Change gtk theme.
7. Download and unzip the garden simulator and double click on thistle.py file
Notes
- Some more info is aviliable here [1]
- The program work on Macintosh but you have to figure how
- A great IDE if you like to make changes is Aptana Studio
- For better and faster user expirience use linux.
