Another note is that there is a vertical section where papyrus never grows from 3669 to 3694. If my theory about papyrus generators is correct, then such sections likely show up all along the Nile and should therefore be avoided. So my yields would probably be quite a lot better (and more consistent) if I'd missed that section.

Papyrus Theories

Here's some data. What I'm suspecting now is that individual tiles have a specific number of papyrus spawn points, and that seeding simply sets those tiles to countdown to show a papyrus reed.
