So iron, copper, beeswax and leather, are the things we need to start accumulating in large quantities - and as always, wood. Cuttables and gypsum are needed in the shorter term for the furnace, which is likely to be ready quite a bit sooner than the deep well.
We'll also be building plenty of mines:
