YAY, and I'm going to work in a ton of snow, BOO. Okay, so I live in the biggest city in the world. I checked the website for where I work and it didn't say it was closed. I listened to the radio and it didn't say it was closed. So the human got up, had breakfast at 5:30 a.m. shoveled her car out of its spot. Brought her bags downstairs and put them in the car while the wind was blowing the snow on her at 50 mph. She cleans her car off, gingerly drives towards work and while she is listening to the radio they say, "Wow, we never get to announce this, New York City Schools are closed today." Soooooo, she is stuck in traffic on the highway, finally gets off an exit, slowly turns around and drives back home. Since she left, the road in front of her spot has been plowed and they plowed snow into her spot. So she gets the shovel, shovels out the spot, backs the car in, (all along saying unrepeatable words) grabs her bags and trudges home to get snuggly in her pj's to hang out in Egypt for the day. |

March 1, 2009 A new day, a new month, and new adventures to be found in Egypt.
Yesterday I was having some trouble with my headphones so I enlisted Kelly's help last night to see if the headphones and mic were working. We went to Yahoo and for the first half hour or so, Kelly could hear me and my very very New York accent and I couldn't hear her. So I gabbed away while her mic was being reconfigured and all I could think of was she is listening to some New Yawker ramble on and I'm a nut job. Well, after awhile, I could hear Kelly and her Boston accent and she couldn't hear me. After all got fixed, the two of us gabbed and gabbed for 3 hours.
Which brings me to the next mindless rant. Who are we? A very deep question indeed. (My favorite word) A bunch of people sitting at their computers playing what is supposed to be a game. But is it? Did you ever watch Lost? Are we all Teppy's psychological experiment? Do we sometimes forget that the avatars are real people sitting at a keyboard who have individual personalities and lives? When someone doesn't answer you in a chat right away, are they contending with four kids or simply going to the rest room? When people grief other people, do those people grief other people in real life? When someone is controlling in the game are they controlling on the other side of the screen as well? Oh well, these are questions that are really getting too deep for this a.m. On a lighter note, being that Jeff is starting in 28th place in the NASCAR race today, I don't have high hopes for him. But if you hear someone from New York screaming at the television because he is doing well, yes, that's me. Psssttt. He finished 6th and is first in points. Yay Jeff 24.
