Can someone explain how to effectively USE the Ecology skill? How many Tadpoles should be used, what sort of messages we'll get, how to interpret those messages? The only result I've ever gotten while testing was something to the effect of, "No tadpoles died, use more tadpoles." --Nekojin 15:07, 22 December 2008 (EST)
- Ecology lets you test for pollution. Since there's different types of pollution, there's different tests. Which you learn with each level in the ecology skill. Ecology level 1 allows you to test for heavy metals in the soil. The more tadpoles you use, the more accurate your test. The more tadpoles that die, the more metals there are in that soil. You can use 10 tadpoles to get within about 10% accuracy. 100 tadpoles should get you within 100% accuracy. 1000 tadpoles should get you more detail than you'll really want. I believe level 2 ecology is PH or alklinity or something like that. I don't have 2 yet but you can find some comments and results from others on the wiki. Try looking up pollution. You'll get better results than looking up ecology. amisibastet 17:53, 27 December 2008 (EST)
- ya know I think I did that wrong... 100 tadpoles would get you within 1% accuracy, not 100%. Sorry about that. Moved my decimal the wrong way I guess.--AmisiBastet 16:01, 29 December 2008 (EST)
