Hanid
Who: I started in Tale 3, and the reason I play this game is its nonviolent nature and camaraderie that has developed over time. I am not a heavy hitter as far as leveling, preferring growing and creating things. My spouse is Spooner, and we have lived in SW most of T4. In RL I live in the USA and currently train horses and riders, give seminars and am a Fédération Equestre Internationale (Olympic governing body) judge. My job is to ensure the fairness of competitions, primarily in countries other than my own.
The DP role: To me a good DP is virtually invisible. If the need for action arises, the first choice is always a solution other than banning. To ban it is important to remember first and foremost this is a game, and as such there are expectations on what is appropriate according to the code of conduct, passed by the Egyptian citizens. It is the DP's responsibility to listen to all sides, putting aside friendships and loyalties. I personally believe that this code we hope all players abide by also applies to DPs. The "role model" certainly is appropriate and really would require no change for any potential DPs, because I would like to believe we all behaved ourselves before being considered for election or our peers wouldn't have put us forward as candidates:-)
Why vote for me? I have experience arbitrating "sports/games" and am perfectly capable of banning, though this would be my last choice. I trust the voting people of Egypt to make good decisions.
