Falcon Bay Research and Industry Institute

This guild is focused on promoting research in the Falcon Bay area, a large portion of the collective group effort goes to the community by researching new technology, building public facilities and promoting community efforts. While the guild promotes community activity to learn new technology and build out the facilities of the guild, we also encourage each member to pursue their own interests and to take time for themselves whether that be fishing, exploring or working on their own compound and hobbies, etc.

Location

Our guild is located in a valley in Falcon Bay at 4323, -498.

Smelting Facility is located in Falcon Bay at 4150, -400 (Between UArch & SBody)

Projects

Digs

Currently we are focused on performing digs to uncover more cuttable stones for research, anyone is invited as long as the

following rules are followed:

  • Please only dig when the instructing digger calls for it, the more people who dig at the same time the better the results
  • Do not pick up any of the items the dig produces, elders and higher ranking members who are designated will pick the goods up
  • Please be prepared and bring some shovels, 10-20 should be plenty
  • 50% generally go to research while the other 50% go to the participants, as long as you let an elder know, otherwise they are donated to research

Guild Expansion

Guild hall currently at 50 members.

Expansion to 75 requires 8800 Boards and 17550 Bricks.

Dowsing

4335 --> 4670, -530 (E-W) with Per 2

Facilities

Compounds

We currently have a public compound for use by anyone who happens by, containing kilns, pottery wheels, a mason's bench, rock saw, carpentry shop, loom and several distaffs. The guild itself also contains two sheep pens and a camel dromedary and is constantly expanding in both technology and buildings.

There is also a compound near our iron mine with compression furnaces and student's forge.

  • Antimony, Topaz: 4573, 7430 (south east of Pyramid Lake Chariot Stop)

This Antimony mine does fairly well on Topaz as well, and will produce mostly Smalls and Mediums. As far as mining Antimony goes, the best I was able to do is 5 per pull, and I was able to do this fairly consistantly. When you mine, you will have 3 of the crystals that are in the same color family, with at least one other that is close, so look carefully. I was choosing the middle of the three, as far as color saturation goes, to have the best result. The yield is an escalating one - 1 first try, 2 second, and so on. - Menhotep

  • Lithium, Quartz: 138, 1028 (SW Shabbat Ab)
  • Strontium, Quartz: -1049 -5807 (W of Queen's Retreat Chariot Stop, into the desert)
  • Diamond: 664, 6701 (average gem yield) ADN - Repaired 6 times (needs repairs)
  • Diamond: 664, 6719 (pretty bad gem yield) ADN - Repaired 1 times
