Shabbat Ab

From A Tale in the Desert
Jump to navigationJump to search

The region formerly known as Seven Lakes, Shabbat Ab is centred on a bend in the Nile, roughly in the middle of Egypt. The middle of the region is a large green area with several lakes, but there are also inhabitable areas on both banks of the Nile and along the Red Sea coast to the east. It is bordered by Stillwater to the north, Saqqarah to the south, and with access to Falcon Bay to the south-east along the coastal road. Nomad's Paradise and Khmun are both to the west across the desert.

Education

There is a full set of both Schools and Universities in the middle of the region, and a second set of Schools to the east along the coast, although half of these are technically north of the border in Stillwater.

Research

Shabbat Ab is one of the more active regions for research, tied with Pyramid Lake and Queen's Retreat for an early lead.

Shabbat Ab Research Overview

Shabbat Ab Research Details

The local research guild is the Shabbat Ab Council for Facilities and Research.

Facilities

Some public facilities are provided by SACFAR.

Currently this includes pottery wheels, a rock saw, a kitchen, and kilns.

Residents

Shabbat Ab is a small but densely populated region, with plenty of other Egyptians around.

The Principles of the Human Body was first unlocked here by Nemoder. The Principles of Thought was first unlocked here by NatuBo with the help of The Wanderers and many others.

Guild Locations

Locations of some of the guilds in Shabbat Ab. Each sign carries first letter of guild. Also there is member lists in infos. Member lists may not be up to date.

(( Do we even need member lists on the map? It's a lot of extra work to add, will pretty much always be out of date, clutters up the code and the labels on the pushpins, and doesn't really add much in the way of useful information. Member lists on the guild's own page makes sense, but not so much on the map. -Korivak 10:52, 21 December 2008 (EST) ))
