Guilds/SA Waterworks/Expectations
Expectations and Rules
These are the expectations and rules of SA Waterworks.
1. This is a drama free zone! Drama will not be tolerated.
2. Contributions towards the building of the pump, towers, and upgrades will earn the contributor points.
3. Guild hierarchy and structure
- A fixed number of towers will be built all at the same time. Doing this allows more towers to be built, as a group can accomplish more than an individual. The number of towers is decided by the Elders/Patriarchs, and is based on the amount of materials needed; The faster the towers can be built, the better. For example, the first group will build the pump, and 20 towers.
- During the building of the pump, Elders of SA Waterworks are also considered Patriarchs.
- All pump/towers/upgrades will be built after all materials have been collected by the group.
- Individuals may opt to build in a position based on their contribution points. e.g., the more contributions an individual makes, the more points they will earn, the earlier they may build in the build order. If an individual passes on their right to build a tower before other members (assuming they have earned more points than the other members), they may build a tower at any point in the tower order beyond their forgone position.
- Once all pump/towers/upgrades have been built, the Patriarchs of the SA Waterworks will actively recruit suitable Patriarchs to take their position as Patriarchs from outside the Guild. Once this is done, the new Patriarchs will actively recruit new Members to form a new 20 (or less) individual group for the next set of towers/upgrades. Members who could not build during the previous group will have their points carried over to the new group.
- At this point, previous Patriarchs and Members are considered retired. Retired Members may quit the guild, or if they wish to remain in the guild for the social atmosphere, continued donations to new members, etc., they may be moved to Kinsman status. Retired Patriarchs may keep their position if they intend to keep working, or be demoted to Kinsman. Elders will remain in their role so that SA Waterworks to manage memberships, and will advise new members when possible.
- All Guild-owned warehouses except the Stash Warehouse will be Usable by Patriarchs and above. The Stash Warehouse will be Take for Patriarchs, and Stash by Members.
4. Disputes will be handled by Patriarchs.
5. Group contributions will have the points divided up as determined by the person who turns in the contribution.
6. Contributions are only considered good once they are stashed into a guild warehouse, the contribution reported to a Patriarch, and recorded on the wiki by a Patriarch. First come first serve is the rule, although we encourage communication between members about what their plans are. You can use this Discussion page to communicate what you plan to work on.
7. Members are encouraged to keep the pump fill by pumping it at the first tower (Tower 1, 1049, 1575 ). There is a kitchen nearby available for making pump food.
8. Members are encouraged to grow at least 1000 veggies a week at the last tower. Let's get our test passes!
9. Elders and Patriarchs should be the only people editing any portion of the SA Waterworks wiki page unless otherwise authorized (other than the Discussion page).
10. While we all like to have fun in guild chat, remember that this is not a social guild, but a project guild. Please use moderate language when chatting in SAW. Thanks!
Group A's Expectations
As a summary of our system, only those who contribute enough points for the top 20 positions will build towers. The other members who could not build towers will save their points for the next group of 10-20 players. The current leadership of SA Waterworks will also have to pass off the leadership to others if they did not build a tower themselves, so those who do not make the first 20 cut, will also be considered to lead the next group.
Group A is Finished.
Here is an Archive of the materials and contributions.
Group B's Expectations
Unlike the previous group, Group B will be a set group of 21 players. Other members may contribute for points. If a member that is not in Group B contributes, their points will count towards their future group (if they have not built a tower yet). Points for Group B members will determine their build order. Elders reserve the right to take players out of the group for replacement.
At build time, members have 72 hours to get in touch with an Elder or Patriarch to build, or their spot may be forfeited. Forfeited spots may be built later if there is a spot left (there normally would be a spot left for Group B members). This is to avoid holding up the rest of the chain. Elders/Patriarchs will attempt to give advance notice of build time, but it is the responsibility of each member to watch the wiki, and know when build time is approaching.
- Group B's current roster: Bourbon, Arthur, Hikahi, Kalmkitty, Mespho, Aolen, Dvo, Rami, Shemeit, Celamun, Halinor, Krodimne, Sweetnothing, Biker, ladygrim, Augusta, BL, Raia, Zisoni, Klax, Daniels.
Minimum required contributions for all members in Group B (subject to adjustment):
New Members/Group C Expectations
After Group B builds, we may switch to an individual building methodology depending on how much interest we get in group organization. Stay tuned.
