Red sand is a rare substance from which quicksilver is derived.

Red sand has 1 weight and 1 bulk, and can be gathered directly from the ground like regular sand. This is a notable difference from previous tellings, in which red sand was heavy and required digging to obtain.
Uses
- In a Fleet Furnace, can be smelted into quicksilver.
- Needed to research Basic Chemistry.
- Needed to research The Science of Color.
- In the making of Paint on a pigment laboratory
