Dates may be gathered from this tree.
Dates will begin to grow on a tree that has been fertilized with saltpeter. Anybody may harvest dates from a Date Palm, but you are required to have 1 saltpeter in your inventory so that the tree can be re-fertilized, which you do automatically upon harvesting the dates.
Date Palms can be examined to find Queen Ants. Certain weeks of the year it also produces Fresh Leaves which are used as ant food.
They do not produce wood.
