Official Notes

NOTE 1:  All wood and bonfires become the property of SETESH at the end of the event.
Official Counts
+
SETESH will take them away from the mortal world.

We use the registration baskets as our list to give out participation prizes.
+
= Prizes =

We will have to track the locations of the bonfires in case they get over built by a larger one.
+
Prizes will be awarded. Prizes are subject to availability and may be altered or limited in quantity.
 +
All prizes will be awarded if possible.

We can use the “built by” name to help track the bonfires and what category it is in.
+
Note: This is a player run event and while all attempts at “fairness” will be standard operating
 +
procedure, the final determination of what is or is not fair, winners and other miscellaneous legal issues rests with the GM or Event Organizers.

We have to note players building in multiple categories, if they are the ones making the initial bonfire, as their names could be on more than 1 bonfire.  A player could technically have 3 bonfires in their name but each entered into a separate category.

Example of multiple ownership to watch for:
+
= Awards Ceremony =

Solo Bonfire Built by Player A Player A
+
Awards will be given out at the Flight Deck, near the registration area.
Team Bonfire Built by Player A Player A + Player B

Guild Bonfire Built by Player A Player A (as an Elder in the Guild)

Largest bonfires in multiples of 100 win. Odd lot amounts are rounded down. Ex  199 = 100.
+
The awards will be given out approx. 1.5 hours after the end of the Burning SETESTH event completes, to allow the tabulation of winners and to permit the Festival Event to complete.

Basket Building Location Needs
+
Please return to the flight deck to receive your awards and to participate in the '''Burn Baby Burn''' where the largest bonfire will be set on fire.

Sculpture Event had 15 entries and 39 voters.
+
* Players not online at the end of the event will have their prizes stashed in the chest array at the Flight Deck.
 +
* Please return ownership of the chests when you have picked up your prize.

Expect @30 participants for this event because of Solo, Team and Guild cross registration.
+
== Burn Baby Burn 1 hour ==

The area where the baskets should be built needs to accommodate this and remain visible to all players and officials.
+
The largest bonfire(s) will be moved near the Flight Deck and '''SET ON FIRE.'''

Also, some areas cannot be built on due to landscaping items, such as the area directly next to the piers, which is a roadway item.
+
Celebrations include '''Wine by Rabble''', hookah smoking, and fireworks.

Bonfire Building Location Needs
+
Optional activities include Acro and Belly Dancing.

Bonfires can get really big. So the location for them may need some consideration.
+
Donations to the Garden and Events are most welcome! Please contact the Aero Club for details. <br />
 +
Aero Club thanks all the players who have donated to the park.
 +
The wines, fireworks and all the items in the park are made from player donated materials.

Small bonfires of 500 wood could easily be lost by the overlap foot print of a 50,000 wood bonfire.
+
= Miscellaneous Info =

Special care and perhaps some Nik pushing might be needed to keep the bonfires separate and visible.
+
== Time Table and Schedule ==

Prize Considerations
+
The exactly timing of each event will be determined on game day. It should be anticipated that changes
 +
and alterations in any of the events may happen. Should the Event Organizers determine there are
 +
insufficient participants, then the games may be altered or canceled.

We have 3 categories of prizes: Solo, Team and Guild
+
== Additional Rules ==

There are separate participation prizes for Solo and Team but not Guild.
+
For this event only, players may build baskets and bonfires as required, but only in the designated area for the event.  At the end of the event, the baskets and the bonfires will be taken by SETESH and removed from the mortal world.

I would like Top 3 and Top 5 to avoid First-Place-itis.
+
No other items or structures may be built with in the park and the standard warnings apply.

 +
=== Pharaoh's Garden is a NO BUILD AREA ===

This is very much a PVP type event. The prizes have to be worth much more than the wood being offered up.  Some guilds and players have enormous supplies of wood.  To get them to do this the prizes have to be extra special. We want players to be willing to dump 100,000 wood or more for them.
+
No player built items are allowed within the confines of the garden. The only construction allowed
 +
within the garden's boundaries are those supporting events and those belonging to the garden's wardens.
 +
All other buildings, mines or constructs will be removed by the garden's protectors.

I would like to suggest a special “In The Middle of the Event” announcement that any player, team or guild  building 1,000,000 wood bonfire would get something UTRA AWESOME.
+
=== Pharaoh's Garden Art Park ===

 +
Pharaoh's Garden has an open air art museum for sculptures, gardens, fountains and other art projects.
 +
If you would like to build a project at the park, please apply at Pharaoh's Garden Office (near the
 +
entrance of the park).

Participation Awards for Solo 250 Charcoal
+
== Protests, Complaints or Concerns ==

Participation Awards for Team 500 Charcoal
+
The final determination of what is or is not fair, winners and other miscellaneous legal issues rests with
+
the GM or Event Organizers.

Awards Party Considerations
+
== Optional Reading ==

I think we should have a big party at the Flight Deck for this event.
+
The Airship Field Game Manual has many details and information about the park and the games held here.

We should combine the bonfires into gi-normous ones and set them on fire at the Flight Deck.
+
http://www.atitd.org/wiki/tale6/Guides/Airship_Field_Game_Manual

Nik can go in stealth mode to light them up.

Wine and Hookahs of course.  Fireworks if we want them.  We still have some in the Party Pantry.

Burning SETESH: 2 hours

SCHU has boasted of the greatness of Egypt's people by their creation of sculptures using clinker and their growing of beautiful orchids.

SETESH does not believe this to be a worthy challenge and seeks to prove that the challenges he can put forth are better ones.

SETESH believes that challenges that do not require sacrifice are unworthy of the gods. To this end, SETESH has created the Burning SETESH Challenge: to create bonfires as offerings to the greatness of SETESH.

Players will have 2 hours to bring wood and build bonfires in Pharaoh's Garden as an offering to the god SETESH. The largest bonfires will win prizes.

NOTE 1: All wood and bonfires become the property of SETESH at the end of the event. SETESH will take them away from the mortal world.

Details

There are 2 categories: Solo and Guild.

To register a basket must be built in Pharaoh's Garden Registration Area.

There are separate registration corrals for solo entries and guild entries. Please place your baskets in the appropriate corral.

Players will need 2 personal chits for this event. 1 for registration. 1 to secure their building lot.

Solo Entry: Solo players will register by placing a personal chit in their basket near the Blue Banner.

Guild Entry: Guilds will register by having an Elder in the Guild place a chit in a basket near the White Banner and notifying the Aero Club Officials that they are registering their guild AT THE START of the event.

Note: Only a Guild Elder may enter a guild for the event.
Note: A guild can only be represented ONCE.
Note: Elders in multiple guilds may only select ONE Guild to represent.
ex: Elder-A is an elder in 2 guilds G1 and G2. They must pick just one to represent. ex: Elder-B is also an elder in G1. If Elder-A has already entered G1, and Elder-B tries to enter G1 again, this entry would be voided.

Players may enter both categories but each entry must have its own bonfire. Elders in multiple guilds may enter each guild but each entry must have its own bonfire.

  • Ex: A player entering both categories would have two separate bonfires.
One designated as solo entry, the other as guild entry.
  • Ex: An elder in multiple guilds may enter each guild. All guilds would have separate bonfires.
    Guild A = bonfire A and Guild B = bonfire B.
Note: Baskets require 28 dried flax + 8 boards and hold 1,000 bulk.

Everyone will start at the same time.
