Iron ore can be found in several places in Egypt in the form of underground iron veins. These can be located using the Dowsing skill and a Dowsing Rod. Once a vein is found, ore can be extracted after building a Mine on top of the vein. The method of extraction is by a puzzle, details of this puzzle can be found here.

You can smelt Iron Ore in a Furnace to make Iron, which is an important resource used in creating many items, buildings and tools.
