Tale 6 begins, and Artinum stands in a brave new world.
Long ago, in another tale, Artinum arrived in a bustling Egypt filled with wonders and surprises. He stayed a long time. But that Egypt is gone. That Artinum is gone. This time around, everything starts afresh. This time around the wonders need to be built, the surprises discovered. There are no shortcuts, no faster way to get there.
Artinum vaguely recalls swimming, and grand machines, and building a huge obelisk that pierced the sky. These things are but dreams now. Perhaps, in time, he will live them once again.
For now, there's flax to grow and slate to gather. So much to learn, so much to do.
