Porthos: [01d03h08m] we can take a vote on the wiki, after Plurbus feeds back on what he will and will not do
 +
Porthos: [01d03h08m] like they did for Arch
 +
Porthos: [01d03h08m] http://www.atitd.org/wiki/tale6/Monument_of_Architecture
 +
Pluribus: [48m] Guys, while you are all voting for tests.  There are SIGNIFICANT downsides to the Mountaineer
 +
ShebaNezbia: [48m] may I ask what they may be?
 +
Pluribus: [47m] 1) You eliminate any need for shorelines, hills or mountains in the game (which will break a ton of game mechanics.)
 +
Pluribus: [46m] 2) It WILL be the last test of the Tale because of the lag that it will induce on EVERY player.
 +
(I will have to rescan and re-calculate walkability every step you take rather than taking 2 hours at server startup)
 +
Pluribus: [46m] for EVERY player
 +
ShebaNezbia: [45m] egad... don't want that at all.. especially more work for you...
 +
Pluribus: [44m] There isnt a how steep is this terrain set of data in the map, it is walkable/unwalkable...
 +
(and those calculations are done only where builders change a small section or during initial map loading.
 +
Pluribus: [44m] what you are asking for with that test is to scan and recalculate walkability with every step
 +
Pluribus: [44m] for every player
 +
Kalmkitty: [43m] no thanks
 +
ShebaNezbia: [42m] I second that Kalm...
 +
ShebaNezbia: [40m] Are there any other's we  need to be aware of Pluri?
 +
Pluribus: [40m] give me few to finish going throught them
 +
Kalmkitty: [39m] np  : )
 +
ShebaNezbia: [39m] Okies.. thank you, I appreciate you taking the time :)
 +
Pluribus: [39m] Ok... Tax collector... there isnt really any detail in so I cant comment...
 +
Pluribus: [38m] Dancer... Looks like a short event (you can complete the entire test in 15 minutes, it isnt a test, it is a game)
 +
Pluribus: [36m] Marathon....  it is ok, but again seems very short for a body test....
 +
Kalmkitty: [35m] maybe increasing the number of wins?
 +
ShebaNezbia: [34m] Or putting them together and making like a triatholon?
 +
Pluribus: [34m] Fishermen sounds a lot like ToDN for fishing...  I would want more on the
 +
"Each of the lists will give you the ability to design a special fly rod"
 +
Pluribus: [32m] Embalmer sounds interesting, although the name needs work, since embalming is done to OTHERS not yourself
 +
Pluribus: [30m] Camel Racing...  No real detail there...  Just sounds like a "Pluri, We want to ride camels... come up with a way"
 +
ShebaNezbia: [29m] Is riding camels a possibility Pluri?
 +
Pluribus: [29m] Fungal hunter... would work, but there are a lot of questions about mechanics...
 +
Pluribus: [28m] ShebaNezb: Not likely when players can outrun horses
 +
Pluribus: [27m] Sport Fishing...  Technically possible, but will invove a fair amount of artwork (My archnemesis at the moment)
 +
Pluribus: [25m] Golden Angler.... Seem to be a fishing theme this year...  Also sounds a lot like ToDN for fishing
 +
Pluribus: [25m] Fish Bingo... really...  seems more like event game than test...
 +
ShebaNezbia: [25m] Well... I was thinking triathalon.. running swimming and riding camels.. but NO food allowed...
 +
totally dependant upon personal states... have it cross egypt... came speed, end and dex is dependant upon food
 +
      and the person training them...
 +
Pluribus: [22m] Daily Catch... really more fishing? ....
 +
Kalmkitty: [22m] hehe someone really likes fishing
 +
ShebaNezbia: [21m] bah... fishing lol I get tired of "almost" catching a strange fish lol
 +
Pluribus: [14m] Well, that will still happen, I have done tweaking of fishing for T7 to make it much more friendly...
 +
but the mechanic is largely the same
 +
ShebaNezbia: [13m] so... would the triathalong be possible pluri? <see above>
 +
ShebaNezbia: [13m] Eh.. not a fisher in rl either :)
 +
Pluribus: [08m] Anything is POSSIBLE, Everything has costs either in time (to code, for artist and animator time, etc..) or
 +
$$ (usually both)  Doing a separate racing pens, full camel models, running and walking animations for camels either
 +
courts/markers/etc..  So yes it is possible....  Is it a cheap and/or quick test noEspecially with Isis Bounty
 +
still on the table.  (That beast will probably eat any profit I make for T7)
 +
ShebaNezbia: [07m] Okay.. thanks.. won't add it to wiki then :) Don't want you to break the house before we get to T7 :)
 +
Balthazarr [06m] is posting this on the monuments page so that the powers that be can read what was discussed
 +
ShebaNezbia: [06m] Thank you Balth :)
 +
Pluribus: [05m] God, even Harmony is going with a fishing test...
 +
Kalmkitty: [04m] i still like marathon...maybe with an increase in number of wins
 +
Pluribus: [04m] and there are 180 fish scale colors in t7 :-)
 +
Hounddog: [04m] no one has made a test for crab fishing yet...
 +
ShebaNezbia: [04m] Guess fishing is the in thing for T7 :)
 +
ShebaNezbia: [04m] Hopefully we can use the scales in T7 .. I have a whole chest full and don't know what to use them for :)
 +
Pluribus: [00m] Yes, you get to eat them if the harmony monument completes.
 +
Pluribus: [00m] Taste yummy fish scales
 +
Kalmkitty: [00m] lol
 +
ShebaNezbia: [00m] yeah.. fish scale soup woo hoo... :)

Most Urgent Needs
Most Urgent Needs
The biggest challenge (aside from gathering the people) for the Body Monument is coming up with the rare beer and wine flavors.  The most difficult beer is Cherry Cinnamon -- leading beer experts have informed me that in order to produce this, we will need a Yeast-17/Yeast-9 spot.  If you have (or can make) a beer kettle kit or three, please consider doing some yeast tests near your compound to try to help us locate this sequence if microbes.  This is easy to do:  just plop down the Beer Kettle kit, hit "Yeast Test", then hit "Begin" (requires 25 Water in Jugs and 60 Wood -- Jugs are returned).  40 minutes later, you will be able to view the results.  Just copy them to clipboard and paste them into an empty text file along with the coordinates the beer kettle is sitting at.  Ideally, the list of microbes will start with "Yeast-17 Yeast-9", but if both of those microbes are near the top of the list (and in that order), that's also helpful (it may mean that there is a spot nearby that will work, even if that exact spot won't).  Note that you will need 1 Small Barrel to see the results of the yeast test.  The small barrel is not consumed, and can be re-used again and again to do multiple yeast tests.

More immediately urgent even than finding that yeast spot is wines.  I have been informed that if a wine flavor genuinely does not exist in Egypt (i.e., is impossible), the monument requirement for that wine can be changed.  But, on the other hand, if even a single bottle of a rare flavor exists in some inactive player's wine stash warehouse somewhere, we're out of luck.  What does this mean in practical terms?  It means that we need to be able to produce every flavor that is produceable:  there are several inactive winemakers who very well may have found flavors that are not in general circulation, and we need to also be able to produce those flavors or the Body Monument won't happen.  Flavors can take several vintages to develop in a wine (each vintage is one Egypt month, or about 10 RL days), so even if the telling lasts for three more months, we're still on a very tight schedule to find those flavors.
+
Time!

How can you help?  Flavor testing.  Obtain/grow a large number of vine cuttings for a vine type that has at least one or two very good tends (most important qualities: +Grapes, +Quality, +Acid).  Place a vineyard at the location you wish to test and plant a vine cutting.  If the first state/tend (see Wine) is one of the good tends, you're set.  If not, tear that vineyard down and rebuild.  Once you have a vineyard that produces a good initial state, tend once (this should give you positive grapes, positive quality, and positive acid), then harvest those grapes.  Repeat until you have enough for 10 bottles (210 grapes).  You can then tear down the vineyard (but make a note of the coords that those grapes came from.  Place those 210 grapes into a Wine Barrel, sealing with a Barrel Tap, then immediately bottle the wine (you will need 10 Empty Wine Bottles for this).  Wait for the Egypt month to change.  Your wine is now 1 vintage old.  Uncork 1 bottle at a Ceremonial Tasting Table with a good selection of glasses (including one high quality wine glass).  Make a note of the flavors.  If a needed flavor has shown up, you're in business, and you already have the 7 bottles needed, ready to donate to the monument.  If not, wait another month (vintage) and try again.  It sounds complicated, but it's really not once you've done it a couple of times -- it's actually kinda fun looking for flavor spots.

July 31, 2015: These are the NEW T6 requirements for a Body Monument.
 +
Looks like they really didn't change all that much, thankfully.
 +
The only real changes were an adjustment to Silk cloth amounts, the addition of Small Stone Blocks
 +
and the removal of the Spirits. All else remained the same.

Pluribus's Guild Chat

Porthos: [01d03h08m] we can take a vote on the wiki, after Plurbus feeds back on what he will and will not do
Porthos: [01d03h08m] like they did for Arch
Porthos: [01d03h08m] http://www.atitd.org/wiki/tale6/Monument_of_Architecture
Pluribus: [48m] Guys, while you are all voting for tests. There are SIGNIFICANT downsides to the Mountaineer.
ShebaNezbia: [48m] may I ask what they may be?
Pluribus: [47m] 1) You eliminate any need for shorelines, hills or mountains in the game (which will break a ton of game mechanics.)
Pluribus: [46m] 2) It WILL be the last test of the Tale because of the lag that it will induce on EVERY player.
(I will have to rescan and re-calculate walkability every step you take rather than taking 2 hours at server startup)
Pluribus: [46m] for EVERY player
ShebaNezbia: [45m] egad... don't want that at all.. especially more work for you...
Pluribus: [44m] There isnt a how steep is this terrain set of data in the map, it is walkable/unwalkable...
(and those calculations are done only where builders change a small section or during initial map loading.
Pluribus: [44m] what you are asking for with that test is to scan and recalculate walkability with every step
Pluribus: [44m] for every player
Kalmkitty: [43m] no thanks
ShebaNezbia: [42m] I second that Kalm...
ShebaNezbia: [40m] Are there any other's we need to be aware of Pluri?
Pluribus: [40m] give me few to finish going throught them
Kalmkitty: [39m] np : )
ShebaNezbia: [39m] Okies.. thank you, I appreciate you taking the time :)
Pluribus: [39m] Ok... Tax collector... there isnt really any detail in so I cant comment...
Pluribus: [38m] Dancer... Looks like a short event (you can complete the entire test in 15 minutes, it isnt a test, it is a game)
Pluribus: [36m] Marathon.... it is ok, but again seems very short for a body test....
Kalmkitty: [35m] maybe increasing the number of wins?
ShebaNezbia: [34m] Or putting them together and making like a triatholon?
Pluribus: [34m] Fishermen sounds a lot like ToDN for fishing... I would want more on the
"Each of the lists will give you the ability to design a special fly rod"
Pluribus: [32m] Embalmer sounds interesting, although the name needs work, since embalming is done to OTHERS not yourself
Pluribus: [30m] Camel Racing... No real detail there... Just sounds like a "Pluri, We want to ride camels... come up with a way"
ShebaNezbia: [29m] Is riding camels a possibility Pluri?
Pluribus: [29m] Fungal hunter... would work, but there are a lot of questions about mechanics...
Pluribus: [28m] ShebaNezb: Not likely when players can outrun horses
Pluribus: [27m] Sport Fishing... Technically possible, but will invove a fair amount of artwork (My archnemesis at the moment)
Pluribus: [25m] Golden Angler.... Seem to be a fishing theme this year... Also sounds a lot like ToDN for fishing
Pluribus: [25m] Fish Bingo... really... seems more like event game than test...
ShebaNezbia: [25m] Well... I was thinking triathalon.. running swimming and riding camels.. but NO food allowed...
totally dependant upon personal states... have it cross egypt... came speed, end and dex is dependant upon food
     and the person training them...
Pluribus: [22m] Daily Catch... really more fishing? ....
Kalmkitty: [22m] hehe someone really likes fishing
ShebaNezbia: [21m] bah... fishing lol I get tired of "almost" catching a strange fish lol
Pluribus: [14m] Well, that will still happen, I have done tweaking of fishing for T7 to make it much more friendly...
but the mechanic is largely the same
ShebaNezbia: [13m] so... would the triathalong be possible pluri? <see above>
ShebaNezbia: [13m] Eh.. not a fisher in rl either :)
Pluribus: [08m] Anything is POSSIBLE, Everything has costs either in time (to code, for artist and animator time, etc..) or
$$ (usually both) Doing a separate racing pens, full camel models, running and walking animations for camels either
courts/markers/etc.. So yes it is possible.... Is it a cheap and/or quick test no. Especially with Isis Bounty
still on the table. (That beast will probably eat any profit I make for T7)
ShebaNezbia: [07m] Okay.. thanks.. won't add it to wiki then :) Don't want you to break the house before we get to T7 :)
Balthazarr [06m] is posting this on the monuments page so that the powers that be can read what was discussed
ShebaNezbia: [06m] Thank you Balth :)
Pluribus: [05m] God, even Harmony is going with a fishing test...
Kalmkitty: [04m] i still like marathon...maybe with an increase in number of wins
Pluribus: [04m] and there are 180 fish scale colors in t7 :-)
Hounddog: [04m] no one has made a test for crab fishing yet...
ShebaNezbia: [04m] Guess fishing is the in thing for T7 :)
ShebaNezbia: [04m] Hopefully we can use the scales in T7 .. I have a whole chest full and don't know what to use them for :)
Pluribus: [00m] Yes, you get to eat them if the harmony monument completes.
Pluribus: [00m] Taste yummy fish scales
Kalmkitty: [00m] lol
ShebaNezbia: [00m] yeah.. fish scale soup woo hoo... :)

Most Urgent Needs

Time!

Apparently several of the wine flavors required by the monument have yet to be discovered in Tale 6 as evidenced on the following page:

Tale 6 Wine Flavors

Flavors required by the monument that have not been reported in Tale 6:

Apricot still Apricot
Banana change for black pepper
Molasses change for green olive
Oak change for lemon
Roses change for mercaptan
Strawberry Jam change for strawbeery
Violet change for tea

Materials Ready to Load

July 31, 2015:	These are the NEW T6 requirements for a Body Monument.
Looks like they really didn't change all that much, thankfully.
The only real changes were an adjustment to Silk cloth amounts, the addition of Small Stone Blocks
and the removal of the Spirits. All else remained the same.
