Gather Slate near a shoreline

• Locate a body of water
• Walk around the water until seeing a slate icon
• Click on the icon to collect slate
• Collect as much as possible

Learn Stone Blade Fabrication (School of Architecture)

• Locate the school of architecture on your map
  • If your map is not displayed, click your avatar and select navigation> toggle world map, or press F3
• The on the map is where you are, and what direction you are walking
  • Pan left or right depending which way your arrow is pointing to walk in the direction of the school.
• When in front of the school, click the school and select learn> stone blade fabrication
  • There is a tuition fee of slate (it cost me 7 slate to learn)

Make a Stone Blade (skills menu)

• To make a stone blade, click on your avatar> skills> forge stone blade
  • You must have slate (at least 2) to forge
  • Doesn’t always work on the first try
  • Cost anywhere from 1-2 slate each try

Gather wood from a tree

• Locate a tree
• Click the tree
• Select the option gather wood from (type of tree it is)

Learn Carpentry (School of Architecture)

• Locate the school of architecture on your map
  • If your map is not displayed, click your avatar and select navigation> toggle world map, or press F3
• The on the map is where you are, and what direction you are walking
  • Pan left or right depending which way your arrow is pointing to walk in the direction of the school.
• When in front of the school, click the school and select learn> Carpentry
  • Tuition cost of 3 stone blades to learn

Build a Wood Plane (Projects Menu)

• Cost 4 slate and 1 stone blade to make
• Click your avatar> projects menu> build a wood plane
• Use the arrows in the top left corner to position it where you want and click build
• Breaks down frequently, and cost 1 stone blade to fix
  • ***you may not build within 300 feet of a school or university***

Make Boards using a Wood Plane

• Click on your newly build wood plane> plane a piece of wood into board
  • This is listed as Boards, even with just 1 in inventory

Learn Brick Rack Construction (School of Architecture)

• Locate the school of architecture on your map

• The on the map is where you are, and what direction you are walking
  • Pan left or right depending which way your arrow is pointing to walk in the direction of the school.
• When in front of the school, click the school and select learn> brick rack construction

Build a Brick Rack (Projects Menu)

• Cost 4 boards
• Click your avatar> projects menu> build a brick rack
• Use the arrows in the top left corner to position it where you want and click build
  • ***you may not build within 300 feet of a school or university***
  • Recommended to build near a shoreline for easy access to sand and mud

Gather Sand

• Locate a area of sand (not a grassy area)
• Look in the top left corner for a icon
• Click the icon to gather sand
• Select the amount of sand you want or need to collect
• Then select ok

Gather Mud near a Shoreline

• Locate a shoreline
• Walk around the brownish area until a icon appears in the top left corner
• Click the icon to gather mud
• Select the amount of mud you want or need to collect
• Then select ok

Gather Grass

• Locate a green area (grass)
• Walk around until you see a icon
• Click icon to gather 1 grass

Dry Grass into Straw (Drop menu)

• Click your avatar> drop> grass
• Select the amount of grass you would like to dry into straw
• After grass turns from green to brown, click the pile> pick up the straw
  • *** When dropped on the ground, the more grass in a single pile, the longer the pile takes to dry

Make Bricks using a Brickrack

• Locate the brickrack you built previously
• Click on the brickrack> make bricks
  • Cost 1 Sand, 2 Straw, 3 Mud to make 6 bricks

Get Flax Seeds from a School of Art and Music

• Locate the school of A on your Art and Music
  • If your map is not displayed, click your avatar and select navigation> toggle world map, or press F3
• The on the map is where you are, and what direction you are walking
  • Pan left or right depending which way your arrow is pointing to walk in the direction of the school.
• When in front of the school, click the school and select learn> supplies> ask for some flax seeds (you will be given 3 old Egypt flax seeds every 2 minutes you ask)

Plant Flax Seeds

• Find a grassy area (will not plant in sand or mud)
• Click your avatar> plant> flax: old Egypt

Let the Flax Bed go wild, and harvest Seeds

• When you click the flax bed, you get 2 options (at separate times)
  • First option-weed flax bed
  • Second option-harvest seeds from flax plant
• Wait for the second option then click
• Harvest seeds from flax plant

Weed a flax bed several times and harvest the Flax

• When you click the flax bed, you get 2 options (at separate times)
  • First option-weed flax bed
  • Second option-harvest seeds from flax plant
• Select the first option several times until the option to harvest the flax
  • ***I had to weed flax bed twice before I could harvest***
• Select harvest flax

Learn Flax Processing (School of Art and Music)

• Locate the school of Art and Music on your map
  • If your map is not displayed, click your avatar and select navigation> toggle world map, or press F3
• The on the map is where you are, and what direction you are walking
  • Pan left or right depending which way your arrow is pointing to walk in the direction of the school.
• When in front of the school, click the school and select learn> flax processing
  • Cost 20 flax to learn

Rot Flax in the water

• Locate a body of water and walk to shoreline
• Click your avatar> skills> rot flax in water
• Select amount of flax you want to rot, click ok
• A flag will appear orange and turn white when flax is completely rotted

Take rotten flax from the water

• Click your buoy> get this rotten flax

Gather Thorns (click on plants to find a species that has thorns)

• Look for bushes/shrubs clicking on species to find ones that have thorns
• When you find a species that has thorns click ‘gather thorns’

Build a Flax Comb

• Click your avatar> projects menu> build a wood plane
• Use the arrows in the top left corner to position it where you want and click build
• Cost 18 boards, 36 bricks, and 60 thorns to build
• ***Process 1 Rotten Flax into 1 Straw, 1 Tow and 1 Lint in three steps***
• ***Can process up to 10 Rotten Flax at a time***
• ***Will wear out with use and eventually vanish***
  • ***you may not build within 300 feet of a school or university***

Process flax on the flax comb until you get Tow

• locate your flax comb
• click on your flax comb
• load flax comb with rotten flax
• begin processing flax into straw, tow, and lint

Learn the Clothwork skill (School of Art and Music)

• Locate the school of Art and Music on your map
  • If your map is not displayed, click your avatar and select navigation> toggle world map, or press F3
• The on the map is where you are, and what direction you are walking
  • Pan left or right depending which way your arrow is pointing to walk in the direction of the school.
• When in front of the school, click the school and select learn> clothwork
  • Cost 20 rotten flax to learn

Build a Small Distaff

• Cost 10 wood, 12 boards, and 100 bricks
• Click your avatar> projects menu> flax related> build a small distaff
• Use the arrows in the top left corner to position it where you want and click build
  • it will slowly deteriorate if built outside
  • ***you may not build within 300 feet of a school or university***

Spin Tow into Twine

• Locate your distaff and load tow
• Begin spinning tow into twine

Clean up by tearing down your Wood Plane

• Locate your wood plane and click utility> tear down this building> tear down

Moments later you will lift into the air is you get struck by lightning, thus deeming you as a level 1 citizen
