Package Comparison
The following gives you an indication of what you get for each of the different packages available:
Fine Print
Reserved Character Names
- Only guaranteed for pre-orders done on the Tale 6 live server.
- Names can be changed ONCE at the start of the Tale.
- Name availability of changed names is not guaranteed.
- Blatantly offensive names may be changed at the discretion of the GMs or Devs at any time.
- Changed names will still be associated with the old name. If you want a clean start, create a new character with the new name and pre-order with that character.
- You must use the pre-pay even if for one month to retain your legacy titles. Legacy titles can be restored after the fact, but may not be in a timely manner.
Future Upgrades
If you purchase a pre-paid package after the start of Tale 7, you will receive the full time paid for, but extras will be limited to the largest pre-paid period purchased. (For example, if you purchase a year pre-paid, after a 3 month pre-order, you will receive the full 12 months, and a set of items, but you will not be eligible for the items that have already been claimed.
Custom Landscaping
Available in the 12 month and full telling packages. Subject to normal world building restrictions. Guilds of 5 or more players may group together to get a larger set of changes.
Basic Things Allowed:
- Decorative plants of your choice can be placed where you want. Some other plants may have to be removed to compensate.
- Paths that don't allow speed running (usually a lighter or darker color of sand or grass or gravel) can be placed for effect to a compound or between buildings or to a road.
- Columns, flaming altars, and large rocks, heavy rocks for decoration.
- Fountains or water spouts can be placed. You can't gather water from them, and should be aware that they can create lag in heavily built areas.
- Trees can be moved if they are in your camp to make a more pleasing look but none that will add to the total wood count. If you prefer, trees that have large wood gather amounts can be swapped for more of others that don't give as much, or vice versa. But, no more than 4 tree exchanges.
- The land under a building can be modified so the building doesn't appear to be buried or perched.
- Very small ponds can be placed for a water feature. They often can't be fished but can look like a catch basin for a water feature.
- Small buildings can be nudged a bit.
- A statue that is not used for any event can be placed. And benches. And banners of any color but red.
- Shoreline can be slightly modified since it won't change the fishing ability.
- Grass color can be adjusted to look more natural or dramatic.
- If you already have something like dirt, it can be evened into a more regular shape to make a garden look.
- Your own voting booth.
- We allow a single to have their items and things like carpentry shops, camel pens, hutches, ovens, etc. moved to a guild or other local but not the compound building. This would preclude all other decor. People want to relocate around at this stage.
For those groups of (5 or more) 12-month or Full Telling prepay orders:
- The addition of one recourse., clay, water, sand, grass, dirt, silt, wood, etc..) (NOT limestone, tar, red sand, white sand, royal cactus).
At the builders discretion, and following an audit of adjacent areas, the builder may allow the addition of one of the following items at their discretion.
- A fully decorated altar near your camp if none are within 500 coordinates.
Additional Information:
- You can choose some, or parts of all the options
- The extent of the modifications, and their acceptability, is at the Builder's discretion. If they say NO, that is final.
- The Builder is only coming to this ONCE, and only ONCE. Be sure you ask for everything you want at that time.
- Increasing the number of objects, especially water features, increases the lag. Be kind to yourself and your neighbors.
Please remember that compounds can't be rotated, therefore if you intend for your deco to include a compound to be moved it will stay in the same shape and orientation.
