The kitchen is a building that allows the processing of various food products. When upgraded with an iron cookpot, it can be used to cook meals using Recipes in a kitchen.

Upgrade: Install an Iron Cookpot
Upgrade: Install a coconut crusher. requires 50 Concrete, 5 Iron Bar, 2 Deckle, 2 Knife Blade*, 1 Stainless Steel Pot.
- 3/7/2012 -- Engineers at the Great University of Architecture report they have mad a break through in kitchen design. Now you only need a common knife blade for a coconut crusher instead of steel blades.
Holds 1000 coconuts, automatically crushes them, and collects the water. Apparently, if you want coconut meat you have to break them by hand. Seems to crush them about 15 per minute or so.
NOTE: Do not try to load/refill the crusher while it's running. All the coconuts that you're trying to add will vanish.
Use
Basic
- Convert 10 Flax Seeds to 1 Oil.
- Crush Cabbage into Cabbage Juice.
- Grate Carrots into Carrot Juice.
- Separate Coconuts into Coconut Water and Coconut Meat (Timer: Strength)
- Create Essential Extract from 1 carrot seed, 100 carrots, 100 cabbage.
- Crush Eggs into Crushed Eggshells
- Enhanced Flower Fertilizers (Harvest Elixir, Liquid Sun Fertilizer, Sticky Sun Fertilizer)
note: Requires Advanced Horticulture - Make Ambrosia to use in Festivals.

Allows food cooked in a Kitchen to be bagged so that it may be carried in a players inventory.
A meal may be either be bagged (costing 1 Papyrus Paper per serving) or boxed ( one Jug and one Bottle Stopper).
A bagged meal will remain fresh for 4 teppy-hours, a boxed meal will remain fresh for 24 teppy-hours.
