General Info

Our guild is dedicated to helping anyone learn, using and researching the genetics systems of Egypt.

We aim to help coordinate the research efforts across Egypt, to more effectively achieve our goals, especially for opening Roses and Festivals, and breeding wonderful new strains of flowers, flax and vines.

Working together, we can achieve more :)

Mutagens Research

see Mutagen Research and Recipes Page. PLEASE be sure to update this page with any data or work you've achieved.

Festivals and Research Goals

We need to crossbreed/mutate a giantx3 rose to open this test.
So we need to open Roses (Xenobotany) in as many areas as possible.

the tech requirements are Advanced Horticulture --> Xenobotany.

The more mutagen recipes we have open and characterized, the easier the mutation of the roses needed will be. So we aim to open the Mutagenics tech in at least 4 (maybe more) areas.

the tech requirements are Advanced Chemistry 1 + Cross Breeding + Advanced Horticulture --> Herbiculture --> Mutagenics

Research Completed

  • Xenobotany:

Old Egypt: Goldenleaves rose
Eastern Grounds: Red Dwarf
Midland Valley: Night Bloom

  • Mutagenics: 7L, RP, OE

Current Research Priorities

The exact amount required for these techs was updated on August 14th, 2012. Please check the Research pages for the most accurate recording of materials needed.

All regions have Advanced Horticulture listed.
We will need to open this to open Xenobotany for regional roses.

Moss Research

Mutagenics needs a variety of mosses, and open opening new recipes gets stuck because researches lack the moss with appropriate characteristics. Aside from gathering multi-characteristic moss whenever we can, and blessing towers on a regular basis, there are two ways we can help.

Avatar Testing

Orchid is currently collecting as much data as she can about how avatars change mosses. The more people that can test their affects on towers and give her data, the better! It only takes an hour, and there is an outline of how to do this on the Moss page: Orchid's Moss Testing Procedures.

Additionally, please keep track of what affects you have on moss characteristics, and add yourself to the Moss Table on the Moss page. This is not a comprehensive explanation of what you really do to mosses, since we don't fully understand them yet, but its a useful summary to have. When mutagenics research gets stuck on a particular moss type, we can check which avatars to call on for help to try to create what is needed.

Please note, you may have some characteristics that you sometimes add, and other times subtract from towers. That's ok. The avatar moss chart is HERE

Beetle Factory

A huge guild building to help mass-produce Knefre's Essence for research. PLEASE stop by and help maintain the terrariums when you can! The more we check, the fewer cabbages they will eat, so its REALLY important that we all help.

  • Compound has been MOVED to 1500, 2845*

Compound located at RP 1500, 2845 (east of Nile, south of road, near the RP chariot). There are 50 Beetle terrariums and a beetle locker here, and WH's for storing cabbage.

PLEASE feel free to drop cabbage off.

Procedure:

  • Every hour or so pull out all the beetles, leaving just 1 male and 8 females per terrarium.
  • Mulch them *all at once* in the locker there.
  • Leave the KE's in the WH for someone to take to the current research target University (Old Egypt at the moment).

(big big thanks to Tallow for building all the stuff!! wow)
