A plan of action for creating a flower with a blue middle stamen using four known mutagens and a high probability crossbreed.

First, we will transform the first six genes of Silken to IRRIRR using four mutagens:

Calico, Green, Prickly: Silken on Right, Vampire on Left gives needed I on gene 1

Hairy,Smelly,Striped: Silken on Left, Vampire on Right gives needed I on gene 4

Hairy, Reticulated, Smelly: Silken on Left, Blush/Crown/Silken on Right gives needed R on gene 5

Phos., Spongy, Spotted: Silken on Left, Clarity/Crown/Fracture on Right gives needed R on gene 6

Now, cross the mutated Silken on Left, Blush on Right

A cross which hits after the 6th gene and before the 15th gene yields a success, unless a gene is deleted before the 6th or after the 15th gene. That's approximately an 8/14, or more than 50% chance of success.
