Talk:Events/Pharaoh's Garden Game Event 3
Special Needs Players
We need to make allowance and provide some assistance for special needs players. These might include - helping someone place chits in a warehouse or a trial guide. As the event in not a timed one per player, there is no penalty for any group. The only time limit is for the entire group to finish.
Known players needing Assistance
Rana - requires help with placing chits in the warehouses and will need a guide for the trail course. She doesn't know how to chat very well and will need a guide with lots of patience.
General Direction Spamming
This section will hold the directions and explainations for to be spammed over /events or L2PBS. Cut and paste as needed on event day.
Directions to the Registration Warehouses
When you enter through the gateway, continue to the lake area. On your left you will see 3 banners. This is the registration area.
REGISTRATION: When the warehouses open for registration, go to the banner area. There are 3 banners: Blue White Purple. This is an individual event. Everyone registers at the Blue banner. Place one chit in warehouse.
Official Notes
Common Herbs of Egypt
This is a list of the most common herbs as I've collected them. We should select an herb from this list. If we want to run this several times then a different herb should be requested for each run.
If we run this multiple times then perhaps we can have the event staggered to allow players in different time zones to participate.
List of Herbs

Official Counts
We use the registration warehouse list to give out participation prizes.
We use the registration warehouses to get a list of all the players for the event (clipboard the names). When the event ends, Nik will have to look inside each basket for the amount and the owner of the basket and pass along the information to whoever is doing the score keeping.
Example of the score for herb X:
George | 200 | |
Jane | 5000 | (5 baskets 1000 herbs each basket) |
Joe | 100 | |
Mary | 100 | (199 herbs ROUNDED DOWN) |
Jane wins 1st place. George 2nd place. Joe and Mary tie for 3d place.
Taking Ownership of the Baskets
Nik will have to decide how and when to take ownership of the baskets and their contents.
Perhaps when she does the count she should flip ownership to herself or Aero Club so that the basket cannot be tampered with after the count happens?
Once she owns the baskets, she can remove the contents for destruction and tear down the basket.
If we run multiple versions of this, the removal should happen before the next run.
Basket Building Location Needs
- PGG Event 1 had 29 participants
- PGG Event 2 had 14 participants
Expect @20 participants for this event.
If we get 20 participants that is 20 baskets minimum. As each basket can hold 1,000 quantity a truly solo player will likely have only 1 or maybe 2.
But if players pool their herbs a single player may have many more baskets. If a guild pools all their herbs for one player, that could be a large quantity (eg 10,000 Common Basil) or 10 baskets.
The area where the baskets should be built needs to accommodate this and remain visible to all players and officials.
Also, some areas cannot be built on due to landscaping items, such as the area directly next to the piers, which is a roadway item.
Prize Considerations
We can offer more levels of prizes.
What kind of prizes should we offer for this “quick” event?
If we have several editions of this event should the prizes change?
Do we want a big blow out party at the Flight Deck for this or save that for the larger events?
- Fireworks shortages
- Wine shortages
We use about 40 bottles per event
My production is about 15-20 bottles per event if there's time to get it 12+%
There are no problems with herbs though – we have loads of that.
Where and how does Nik want to give out the prizes?
