Challenge Ideas
Please add your name to the challenge you'd like to have. Please do not add other players names. Do not let the comments dissuade you from any particular test. Please read them and make an informed decision.
- Off of the table, too much work...not enough time (per Pluribus) - Darkfyre
- The mechanics of this test are interesting, but this sounds more like an Art test - Darkfyre
- I vote for this one because it reminds me of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon which will add something truly different to the discipline. In my mind this is more architecture and engineering than art so I am not worried about going astray. My only worry is the requirement for interaction to fill the garden with water and fertiliser (up to every hour is mentioned), it would be nice if there was a way to reduce this as even if you get your guild to help you every hour just isn't feasible. Perhaps a larger hopper, a connection to an aqueduct, or use of extra concentrated fertiliser? There is also no comment on what happens to the garden after the garden passes, perhaps it could be frozen in time whilst in bloom so it can be shown off for forever more? - Mattphat
- I like this one, but agree with mattphatt about frequency of filling water and fertiliser. I would suggest 12 hours, similar to Plantation. Also agree that once passed it should stand as a monument to the growers craft - Mariamom
- Votes: kalmkitty, cate, mattphat, Rhosymedre, Mariamom
- Test of the Deep Mine and Hand of Ra have almost identical mechanics, but this is my vote for final test. - Darkfyre
- Votes: Darkfyre, Larame,toothless, Donk79, Morendo, TheMazeEcho
Hand of Ra - (Pluribus' current pick)
- Test of the Deep Mine and Hand of Ra have almost identical mechanics. - Darkfyre
- I vote for this one, but there is confusing wording [also on Deep mine]. By the wording on the wiki, if I build the tallest on Sunday morning, I can prevent passes as my tower is less than 2 days old and the previous tower is no longer the tallest. I don't like that part. I think passes should be after 48 hours, not weekly. Or weekly passes, but no deadline on when to build. (agree; Samisotet)
- It's an interesting idea, and I prefer this over Test of the Deep Mine, but it seems essentially the same as obelisk with the addition of the potential for collapse - Mattphat.
- Votes: Yendor, kalmkitty, Samisotet, Renard, tamb
The Pylon of Rebirth - (Pluribus likes this one too)
- Good mechanics, but appears to be a long and drawn out test - Darkfyre
- I like this idea, but I have a few concerns - I have placed a few possible suggestions on the test page discussion- Blueshift
- Great suggestions Blueshift. Everyone is quite welcome to edit in improvements/ideas on it - Porthos
- Votes: Eugenius, Porthos, Blueshift, atomadam2
