Sea Lily
WE are going to make a Crown have Magenta shade 3 Inner West Petal and a Cyan shade 3 Inner East Petal for our first one.- Crown Genome: (Length 37)

- We will be Changing the 28th gene first in this recipe. First we need to know the splint ranges that will move the 28th gene.
- To determine that you have two options. Option 1 is do the math
- Formula for Minimum Range is:

- We have found that to move the 28th we need a Mutagen that has splint ranges between 72.97% - 75.68%.
- Now we go to http://www.atitd.org/wiki/tale7/GRRT_Mutagen_Research_and_Recipes#MUTAGENS_Splint_Ranges and find the mutagen has the splint ranges between 72.97% - 75.68%
- The mutagen I have picked is #25 Calico, Spongy, Spotted the left splint ranges are 93.40% - 94.29% and the right splint ranges are 73.08% - 73.18%. The Right Splint ranges are between the gene ranges we need.
- Next step is to find a Lily that has an R in its genome that is between our chosen mutagen (in this case) Left splint range of 93.40% - 94.29%.

- We have several mutagens that Ranges fall between 83.78% - 86.49% (#35 Calico, Phosphorescent, Reticulated, #5 Calico, Fuzzy, Prickly and #14 Mottled, Slimy, Smelly) For this cross I chose #35 Calico, Phosphorescent, Reticulated the Left splint ranges are 83.96% - 84.09% and the Right splint ranges are 52.27% - 52.38%
- Next step is to find a lily that has an R in its genome that is between our chosen mutagen (in this case) Right Splint range of 52.27% - 52.38% (following the above method) There are 2 to choose from Morning (24th) or Dusk (39th) I chose Morning.
- Now to make the cross we will put the child of crown (Rania#26) on the left splint and Morning on the right splint apply mutagen Calico, Phosphorescent, Reticulated
- Now that the cross has been made we need to discard the child of Morning (highest # child) Example left Rania #27 (crown child) and Rania#28 (morning child)
- Now to make the cross we will put the child of crown (Rania#26) on the left splint and Morning on the right splint apply mutagen Calico, Phosphorescent, Reticulated
- STEP THREE
- We will be changing the 36th gene of Crown child next using the same method as we did on the 28th and 32nd gene. This time however our Ranges are between 94.59% - 97.30%
- We have two mutagens that Ranges fall between 94.59% - 97.30% (#24 Crackly, Green, Smelly and #29 Calico, Prickly, Slimy) For this cross I chose #24 Crackly, Green, Smelly Left splint Ranges are 22.73% - 23.08% and Right splint ranges are 97.14% - 97.17%
- Next step is to find a lily that has an R in its genome that is between our chosen mutagen (in this case) Left splint range of 22.73% - 23.08% (following the method above) There is only one to choose from Fracture (5)
- Now to make the cross we will put Fracture on Left splint and Child of Crown (Rania#27) on Right splint apply mutagen Crackly, Green, Smelly
- With that cross made we can discard the child of Fracture (the lowest # Child) Example Left Rania#29 (Fracture child) and Right Rania#30 (crown Child)
- Now to make the cross we will put Fracture on Left splint and Child of Crown (Rania#27) on Right splint apply mutagen Crackly, Green, Smelly
- Next step is to find a lily that has an R in its genome that is between our chosen mutagen (in this case) Left splint range of 22.73% - 23.08% (following the method above) There is only one to choose from Fracture (5)
- OUR TARGETED FLOWER HAS BEEN BUILT if you have done the recipe correctly the Highest # child should be what we were going for :)
