- If this is your first time ever to build a Pathmaker, don’t go for a particularly hard design, but do a simple one.
- Click on your Pathmaker and you'll see two options:
- Change to Aqueduct-Linking Mode
- Open for Judging
- There are 2 design modes:
- Aquaduct-linking mode (the black links)
- Tower-placing mode (the red and blue dots)
Rules
The object of the puzzle is to join all towers into a single closed loop, while obeying these rules:
- All pipes must connect up correctly to adjacent squares
- You may only have one pipe segment per square, i.e. you cannot have a "cross" pipe.
- Pipes on a square with a blue tower must be straight.
- Pipes on a square with a red tower must be a 90 degree bend.
- One of the pipes connected immediately adjacent to a blue tower must be a 90 degree bend. (Note: the rules only require one of the two to be a bend, but both can be bends if you like).
- The two pipes connected immediately adjacent to a red tower must be straight.
Start Designing
- Click on a red dot on your Pathmaker. Clicking it again will toggle it into a blue dot, clicking it again will delete the dot. (offcourse in tower-placing mode)
- If a link is not possible you won't be able to put it on your pathmaker
- Some people draw the design first in Aqueduct-Linking Mode, then add the towers afterwards.
Examples of Tower Placement
- Example of red dots and how they can link - you see they can only from 90° angles and can't be put next to each other, need at least 1 empty space in between them
you can however put blue dots in between the red ones:
- Example on the blue dots and links (blue dot can (although you can place a blue dot in a corner, you will not be able to link it):
