University Text
In the Test of the Safari you will learn to track and capture seven species of Egyptian fauna. Each species has unique behaviors and tracking methods, and each must be accomplished four times. More information about each species can be found here.
Overview
This is the sixth test in the discipline of Human Body. Refer to the separate pages for each animal to assist in catching them.
Passing the Principle
The principle introduces you to 5 of the 7 animals encountered during this test and asks you to do a specific task.
Passing the Test
Capture/tag 4 of each required animal.
(click on links for details on catching each critter)
- Bullfrog - between 6pm and 6am (evening/night) Egyptian game-time.
- Desert Rat - any time of day, any kind of terrain - bring 1 canvas and 4 boards!
- Falcon - any time of day, any kind of terrain - bring END food
- Fennec - check Fennec Traps after 2am Egypt game-time
- Gazelle - any time of day, any kind of terrain - multiple people preferred
- Ibis - between 6am and 6pm (morning/day) Egyptian game-time.
- Otter - any time of day, any kind of terrain - bring ~20 boards
Tracking Progress
To review which animals you have captured/tagged:
- click on yourself (or press Esc)
- select Tests menu
- select Test of the Safari
- select Read my Log Book
A popup will appear, stating your finds and captures, and how many remain.
Strength Bonus
You will get a +1 permanent Strength bonus for every 4 animals that you capture/tap/find (maximum 4 per type). So if you find 2 falcons and 2 fennecs, you get a strength bonus. There are 7 animals, times 4, meaning that you can get a maximum bonus of +7 in this way. Strength bonus increases the ability to carry 500 more weight (not bulk) per 1 bonus point.
Guilds dedicated to the Safari test
There is currently one guild dedicated to this test. Safari Club is located in River Plains at 1587,2827. Elder is Shemei.
