Silk Ribbons

In addition to the paint ingredients, you will need to provide (or buy from me) 1 silk cloth for each Ribbon. To color ribbons requires only 1 db of paint, but requires a more concentrated tint than regular paint and is a bit more complicated. Look up the color you need below and find the recipe. Then use the following to calculate the ingredient quantities for your ribbon(s):

Catalysts (Lime, Potash, Saltpeter, Sulfur):

• # of ribbons x .1 and round up to nearest whole number (example: you need 3 ribbons and your paint recipe uses potash...3 x .1 = .3, round up to 1)

Non-Catalyst Ingredients (Cabbage Juice, Carrots, Clay, Metals, Mushrooms, Red Sand):

• # of ribbons x .5 x ingredient quantity from paint recipe below and round up to nearest whole number (example: your paint recipe for your 3 ribbons uses: 7 carrots...3 x .5 x 7 = 10.5, round up to 11; 1 clay...3 x .5 x 1 = 1.5, round up to 2; 2 copper...3 x .5 x 2 = 3, no rounding needed)

Combining the catalyst and non-catalyst ingredients above for your 3 ribbons you would need to provide the following ingredients:

• 3 silk cloth
• 1 potash
• 11 carrots
• 2 clay
• 3 copper

I will also calculate before you come to confirm your numbers or I can just calculate and let you know what you need to provide.

Paint Recipes

(Currently unable to make: Alice Blue, Blue, Lime and White Smoke)

If you see a color you need that hasn't been verified, I will verify before committing to make the paint. So far all recipes have worked.

Currently no recipes use silver powder but a few do require mushrooms (I have tried to mark those that use mushrooms, but may have missed some.)

Sort by Base Color when looking for ~ish paint (reddish, bluish, etc.) to assist in finding the cheapest recipe. Note: Orange Red works for both Red and Orange; Yellow Green and Green Yellow work for either Green or Yellow
