Roosters are found in the wild by examining Dark Pampas Grass. You must first learn the Avian Selection tech at a University of Worship. They can also be bred in a Chicken Coop.
Notes on foraging in the wild
- Roosters seem to be the most elusive.
- Foraged a large patch at 7:30am game time and got 1 rooster 6 hens
- Foraged same patch at 11:00am game time and got 3 roosters 8 hens
- Foraged same patch at 12:30pm game time and got 0
- Foraged same patch at 5:00pm game time and got 2 roosters 9 hens
Use
- Slaughtering a rooster yields 1 Chicken Meat and occasionally Chicken Bones.
- Whole live chickens (and eggs) can be fed to Cobras in a serpentarium.
General Info
- Hens consume less Barley per day than Roosters consume.
- [[requires::Hens will lay eggs even if there are no roosters in the coop, but the eggs may not hatch if not fertilised by Roosters.
