Mutagens are created in a Mutagenics Lab and aid in Crossbreeding. Discovering Mutagens is a time intensive process usually done at a public mutagenics lab. There is currently a public mutagenics lab at the University of Thought in 7 Lakes.
Once the recipe is started in your lab, it will immediately produce 1 "Toxin of X, Y and Z", with X, Y, and Z being the three moss traits required by the recipe. Over the next real month your lab will continue excreting drops of mutagen, each of which can be used for a cross at a greenhouse.

Example: where does Crackly, Green, Prickly hit on the left splint for a Vampire Lily ?
Range start = ROUNDDOWN( (12 * 44/106) + 1) = 5
Range end = ROUNDUP(12 * 45/106) = 6
This example also shows that even with real good narrowing to less than 1% (we exactly know where it hits Crimson Lily), the hit is not fully determined on a short genome like Vampire!
