Test of the Tiara
Proposed test for the Discipline of the Human Body
Overview
This test would use existing art and materials already in A Tale in the Desert.
The object of this test is to find items which are found naturally in mines.
Demonstration
- 1 Huge Ruby
- 1 Huge Diamond
- 1 Huge Opal
- 1 Huge Topaz
- 1 Huge Emerald
- 1 Huge Sapphire
- 1 Huge Quartz
The Test
The player would need to make 7 different Tiara's. Each Tiara would contain 1 Huge gem. 2 Large gems, 4 Medium gems and 8 small gems for a total of 17 gems. Similar to the Oyster Catcher, players must show the Tiara to the scientist at the University of the Human Body. The scientist would inform the players by popup which size and gem type is in the correct slot. All gems removed from the Tiara are destroyed. Players may start with the Huge gem of choice. Successful completion of each Tiara would raise perception by 1. (Perception being what is needed to detect ore.) Tiaras completed with Huge gem type cannot be repeated. The order in which the large, medium and small gems appear on the Tiara is completely random. The Huge Gem will always be place in slot 9.
Rewards
The boost would last 2 minutes with a 15 minute cool down. The bonus would be 1/2 of the permanent perception stat rounded down.
Example: If the perception stat was 7. The bonus would be 3 (7 divided by 2 is 3.5 and 3.5 rounded down would be 3).
- Stat boost calculations would ignore temporary modification caused by food, herbs, etc.
Passing the Test
To pass the test, players would make 7 Tiaras.
