Insects are any of a variety of bugs, worms, slugs, and assorted creepy-crawlies used to make fishing lures. They are collected automatically in the course of various basic tasks once one has learned the Arthropodology skill. They may be stored in chests like any other resource.
Beetles, found wandering outside, are a separate thing and will have their own page.
There are 49 different species, split into 6 different activity classes same as previous tales in T7 (5 classes of 7 species, plus a 6th class Crop Dwelling containing 14 bugs for a total of 49 insect species).
- Ground Dwelling - 7
- Tree Dwelling - 7
- Water Dwelling - 7
- Herb Dwelling - 7
- Livestock Dwelling - 7
- Crop Dwelling - 14
There are 14 insects split into 2 groups of 7.- Finding 7 will trigger an Achievement.
- There are 2 Achievements that display the same text: Found all 7 Crop Dwelling insects.
- There is no indication if there are specific bugs for each group or if it's just any 7 of 14 for the first Achievement with the second being any other remaining bugs.
Specific insects need to be collected for increasing degrees of the Fly Tying skill and are considered indicators of the insect rarity.
