I first started playing about two months into Tale 3, and stayed almost to the end. I did make an attempt to play at the beginning of Tale 4, but life got hectic and I faded off after less than two weeks. I did, apparently log in for T5 and T6, though I didn't remember doing that, and a friend had to remind me she'd had a chat tab from me open for something like 1200 days or whatever.
I enjoy ATITD mostly for the calm exploration and building stuff - though I do enjoy the accomplishment of completing tests and other goals as well. I'm definitely not too into the competitiveness of some of the tests, though I don't mind a little competition if it isn't too angst-y or drama ridden.
