The Almighty God Pharoah Pluribus reached out his will and through his power browught snowstorms down upon Egypt, bring joy and merriment to the citizens. The people of Egypt gathered to play in the snow all over Pharoah's land, making new friends, and sharing presents with each other. They happy citizen rejoiced at Pharoah's power and generosity!
As the snowstorms passed the new year was brought in with a counter to ice, a show of poweer and fire in the sky! The mysterious visitor who has appeared so many times before returned once again, not willing to let Pharoah's glory last long in the eyes of Egypt. He filled the skies with hours of pyrotechnic masterpiece's, highlighting the winners of generations of fireworks shows. Reminding the people of Egypt once again, that they make Egypt great, not all the glory is Pharoah's.
As the new year burst forth upon us, as the last sparkling ember fell smoking, fading, going cold, thestranger began to speak. It became apparent that he was ill quite quickly, but he assured us that regular dosages of cabbage juice would sustain him. Whispers of the Serpent, spread amongst the gathered crowd.
He confirmed it was true. He then began to discuss with us, the ancient science of alchemy. He told us stories of tinctures, which performed almost magical feats. Traveling great distances in the blink of an eye, bestowing great strenght, and more.
theStranger spoke to us of how alchemy came to his land, though as usual he was evasive as to his origins. We learned from him that night, that alchemy came from Egypt, to his land, though since somehow the science has been forgotten here. In his land, bits of the secrets of alchemy had washed ashore, and were studied unlucking the secrets for his people.
He also told us that alchemy is what brought him here to Egypt, by a tincture made here in Egypt.
Now long was this night, and my memory grew dim, amongst the clouds of smoke from the fireworks, as well as from my wonderful new hookah gifted to me by a true bum of a friend.
But at times thestranger seemed odd, almost talking to himself, almost talking to us who were gathered in a different voice.
Over the next several weeks we met with him again many times. He discussed an interest in researching alchemy and we agreed to aid in any way we could. He began to build a laboratory, featuring distillation equipment, an Alembic, and a strange alchemical device the Assimilation Bath.
WIth these tools he intended to expirement and seek a discovery to unlock the secret of tincture creation. For his researches he has asked for many resources.
In alchemical terms he refered to these as Components of Sun, Components of Moon, Components of Stars, and The Waters.
As he experimented and set us tasks, he continued to cough and seem ill, but we kept him supplied with cabbage juice, and the illness seemed to maintain. But his strangeness, grew stranger.
Amongst the research thestranger began to tell us stories of an ancient Egyptian Alchemist, by the name of Setrak, from Octec's time. But when he would tell these stories, thestranger became disturbed, sometiems speaking in an odd voice. Once he had a raving fit about Setrak being in the wood, of some bonfire he had assemebled. We humored him, had him join us at the hookah, and learned all we could.
To me it seems apparent that our friend, though good to us as he has been, has finally let his years catch him. He seems to me to be losing grip on this reality, perhaps senility, perhaps some syphillitic rot that cabbage juice can not abate. Either that or he is possessed by this ancient alchemist he raves about.
Either way, somewhere in that mind, lies the secret to alchemy. And we shall humor his oddities until we steal at least this one last secret from Egypt's true friend.
And so many secrets there. Most recently he spoke wiht our group and taught us of the Laws of Natural Motion, and the four elements.
According to our friend there exist four elements - Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. He explained that the Natural Motion of things that have within them mostly Air or Fire is to Rise. Thusly the Natural Motion related to the elements of Earth and Water, is to Fall.
He taught us that motion unnatural to the elemental make up of a thing, is Violent Motion. Such that meteors, being rocks, mostly bearing the element of Earth, naturally fall. But a rock ejected from a volcanoe, is Violent Motion, as it is forced to rise.
He told us that there have only been two things in Egypt that are naturally Fire and Air, and thus rise as a Natural Motion. Fireworks, and Air ships.
The stranger also instructed us to understand that side to side motion is thus also violent, as it is neither rising nor falling.
He bade us think on this, and as usual, he was suddenly gone.
