Current projects

Just something to focus combined research, if you rather work on another tech or donate other things that's perfectly fine but we'd rather you work with us on our goals so we can knock them out faster. Please chat Tammie (A.K.A. Grue) in game if you have any questions regarding the tech path or wish to suggest a tech.

Speech

Ok so I understand the temptation to work on the shiny new techs that nobody has yet. I'll admit that I feel it too. But the backlog techs, no matter how unglamorous or outdated they seem, still need to be unlocked. I know motivation is difficult for a lot of folks that already have the tech that needs donations so 'what's the point' often wins out. We were doing well before when we were just a couple techs behind and it looked like we stood a chance at actually catching back up to EG. Once they got the 'good techs' we lost our momentum and I've struggled to get it back. I've tried giving us a single common goal, I've tried multiple goals to give everyone a chance to work on something, I've tried encouraging donations by offering prizes to the top donators each week, I've even tried a tech specific contest. And while each of these things worked for a specific limited group for a short period, none have seen the kind of success we need if we're going to unlock all the tech here in RP. So now I'm at the bargaining stage. Going forward, every time we put a backlogged tech on timer we'll work on a shiny new tech.
